The Knesset held a discussion on the issue of child abuse within the haredi community on Tuesday.
Manny Waks, the CEO of child abuse advocacy group Kol v'Oz, warned those present that "sex offenders tend to move from country to country to avoid jail, but what makes Israel unique is the Law of Return, which essentially grants unhindered access to anyone who is Jewish to come here without any real screening."
Tuesday's discussion was in preparation for a special Knesset session devoted to the issue, which will take place after Passover.
Though born in Israel, Waks grew up in an Australian Chabad community and was himself sexually abused by yeshiva staff. His family says that their neighbors ostracized them for speaking out against the crimes.
He quoted studies that found one out of every five Israeli children has been sexually abused, and he expressed concern that it is a particularly difficult problem in the haredi communities.
"There’s a range of factors that suggest there may be a significantly higher proportion within the haredi community," he explained. "I think any closed community would have increased cases, because these cases are silenced. They’re swept under the carpet. Not only that, but in the haredi community, they don’t even talk about sex, so how can they talk about sexual abuse?"
Waks added that a number of accused and convicted child molesters have come to Israel in order to escape prosecution. "It seems to us Israel is increasingly becoming a refuge for pedophiles and alleged pedophiles. It’s an easy get-out-of-jail card for them."
It should be noted that a number were also extradited to their home countries after their criminal past came to light. ...

Is Israel National News a reliable pro-Israel, anti-Leftist source? It appears to be from what I’ve found so far, but nefarious intentions can mask themselves well.
I ask because I would have suspected that all of the pedophilia present came from the Mudslimes. I had thought that the Israeli Left was nearly nonexistent, but if I have underestimated their numbers I can accept the article’s argument.
I view Israel National News as a Pro-Israel news source, but this stuff needs to be talked about.
It’s not healthy to hide it and pretend it doesn’t exist.
This is nothing unknown, the Hebrew Bible prophesied this would happen, however, since most do not open their Bibles and read them as Christ taught us to read the Hebrew Scriptures, most prefer the lie over the truth that is, this modern state of Israel, while it exists because God allows it, it is not OF God, for if it was OF HIM, there would be no war, Judah would have returned and settled the land without military might, there would be no walls, and all the people of the land would be living in absolute peace, in need of nothing from the nations of the world, including the United States. ALL Israelites, Judah, Ephraim, Levi, etc. would all be living in the land and not scattered throughout the world.
And here is another fact, the abortion rate per capita in Israel is 3 fold that of the United States.
It’s pro-Israel but sympathetic to the right in many of the articles I’ve read. It’s better that Ha’aretz which is far left and Jerusalem Post which might be slightly left of center.

He was feeling the heat and thought he would find it cooler there. So at least in the 1970s that law was not without exception.
There is a rampant disease of liberal ideology adherents in Israel, quite a number of the insane from Europe and the United States.
The balance shifts, but it wouldn’t take much to throw an election into their hands.
At the end of the day, liberals are seeking every avenue possible into ending right of return based on religious faith. Or to put it another way, ending right of return entirely.
To that end, they make up everything they can imagine: immigrants are pedophiles for example. Religious communities which refuse sex education are hiding rampant sex abuse, etc. Projection of their own desires and problems on the conservative community.

This is propaganda. Jews are allowed to settle in Israel.
Of course, pedophiles and others flee to Israel. But if caught they will be extradited.
That is not true in many other countries, where a small “gift” will persuade the cops to look the other way.
