Super PAC for John Kasich Adopts Donald Trump’s ‘Lyin’ Ted’ Moniker for Ted Cruz
Breitbart ^ | 31 Mar 16 | Dr. Susan Berry

Posted on 04/01/2016 6:23:57 AM PDT by xzins

An ad created by the super PAC supporting John Kasich has adopted Donald Trump’s nickname for rival Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX): “Lyin’ Ted.”

New Day Independent Media Committee’s video ad begins, “Many just call him Lyin’ Ted,” as a narrator proceeds to list Cruz’s alleged “lies.”

“Lied about Ben Carson to steal a win in Iowa; lied about being the best for the GOP when polls show he can’t even beat Hillary Clinton; his TV ad about John Kasich lied. Stations had to pull it off the air.”

“If Ted Cruz’s mouth is moving, he’s lying,” the ad continues.

I clearly heard him not say that, but instead say Cruz knew about it and had responsibility for it.

On the other hand, I DID HEAR a Cruz spokesperson a week prior attack Melania Trump for the photo shoot and suggest that that kind of woman should not be our first lady.

That’s the inherent advantage to taking all sides of every issue, I guess - it leaves trump free to call whomever criticizes what he’s said at any given time a liar.

I want to take down Cruz. He’s a liar.

LOL. Lying is the major element of the job description for politicians. Just think how many Politically Correct (but totally nonsense) views must be honored by our politicians. They have no choice but to fudge the truth just to stay elected. This applies to Ted Cruz and every other politician on Earth. (Not counting North Korea, of course.)

You can prove that to yourself. Simply draw up a list of of politicians who are not liars and post the list here at FR. I won't hold my breath waiting for that list to show up.

Either at a town hall or rally, Cruz said Donald Trump was anti 2nd Amendment. I remember this because it was so blatant. As for the Melania Trump ad, a Super PAC put this out with, “Or you could vote for Ted Cruz.” At the bottom.

Ted Cruz never even had the decency to condemn the until a reporter pushed him on it. To give Cruz such a blatant pass, is slimy. Cruz and his campaign knew about that ad and was in favor of it all along. To think otherwise is to in effect reduce Cruz’s IQ an additional 50 points.

I don’t suppose you take any consolation is agreeing that Ted Cruz is a liar.

Look at how Cruz votes in the Senate. You guys just ignore his record and spit out the Trump Propaganda that is polluting FR.

Your loss, not mine.

“Always say he is lying but don’t say what about.”

It’s sad that the more a derogatory word is repeated, the more people believe it, but they have no idea why. They’re brainwashed into believing it’s true without questioning it.

Did you ever watch David Letterman when Bush was in office? Just about every night, for eight years, he called George W. “dumb,” and to this day, many people refer to Bush as “dumb.”

Same thing with Sarah Palin. She was called “stupid” by liberals so many times, but if you ask someone to explain, they have no idea. They’ll just say she’s stupid.

Immaturity. People can’t think for themselves, so they go along with the negative crowd and repeat. There are people out there who are thinking, “Trump says, over and over again, that Ted Cruz lies, and now Kasich is saying it, so it must be true.”

“Rinse made a point yesterday of stating that after the convention voted on president they would also vote on VP.”

Huh? Got a link for that?

The POTUS nominee picks his own VP, often well after the convention.

I heard Steve King, Cruz’s National Co-Chair, on the radio today. It was remarkable to hear how entitled to Kasich’s votes Team Cruz feels. They’re counting every non Trump vote as a vote for Cruz! LOL.

Bigger liar than Trump, for example? No chance of that. Trump changes his story within hours as has been demonstrated in spades this week. Was he lying about punishing women who have an abortion or when he said they shouldn't be. Your choice. Lying then or lying now? Who knows?

Trump is the biggest liar I have witnessed since Harry Reid and his buddy Chuckie last uttered something worth reading.

If he really is Lyin Ted then you should have no problem naming three obvious lies Cruz has told.

Lie #1 = Cruz said that Trump not releasing his taxes must be hiding mob connections somehow. He is a lawyer and knows taxes would not reveal that.

Lie #2 = Cruz stated Trump's campaign manager was charged with assault when he was charged with simple battery. He is a lawyer and knows the difference.

Lie #3 = He never knew he was a Canadian citizen.

Non sequitur there at the end, but that’s okay.

A lying establishment candidate is nothing new for the masses. What’s different is someone who just might blow their comfy little club to smithereens

“My advice to Donald: run anyway. Reprise Teddy Roosevelt’s Bull Moose party.

Isn’t that the message Ivanka sent by naming that baby Theodore?”
_____________________________________________________

Huh. I too had the same reaction to the name Theodore for Trump’s grandson. The problem with that is the Progressive Party (nicknamed “Bull Moose”) split the more liberal voters away from Taft’s more conservative followers giving Woodrow Wilson the election. So when I looked up the history, I did not like the symbolism.

Seriously, Skeeter, he’s the guy they are most afraid of.

They can’t control him, they don’t own him.

They own the other candidates, so to expect anything other than the same old same old from them is unrealistic.

To gamble on Trump being different is a reasonable gamble.

To gamble on those beholden to other billionaires who have brought us to this exact point is not a good gamble.

It was the most effective 3rd party run since the founding of the republican party, iirc.

The key is to keep any party from gaining a majority of the electors if you don’t win a majority of them yourself.
