PRINCETON, N.J. -- Donald Trump's image among U.S. women tilts strongly negative, with 70% of women holding an unfavorable opinion and 23% a favorable opinion of the Republican front-runner in March. Trump's unfavorable rating among women has been high since Gallup began tracking it last July, but after rising slightly last fall, it has increased even further since January.
These monthly averages are based on interviews with more than 3,600 U.S. adults rating Trump as well as the other major candidates in the race each month as part of Gallup Daily tracking.
Trump's image is also more negative than positive among men. As a result, his overall image is the most negative of any of the five remaining major candidates from both parties who are running for president. Still, men are not nearly as negative toward Trump as women are. The gap between his favorable and unfavorable rating among men averaged 22 percentage points in March 1-28 interviewing, compared with a 47-point gap among women.

What happened to all those polls that showed HilLIARy’s unfavorable rating to be sky high?
Yeah that doesn’t make sense considering some of the exit poll results from several states.

I think I know why it’s 7 out of 10.
On a scale of 1 to 10, it’s the hottest women, who rate an 8, 9 or 10, who like Trump (and he likes them back), while the rest of the uggos, rated 1 to 7 don’t like him, basically because they can’t have him.
Women know that Trump on the campaign will be a lot like Trump in the White House. If he continues to routinely insult any degrade any woman who crosses him, it is going to an ugly four years.
The President has the unique ability to change the course of the popular culture. Just as President Clinton mainstreamed marital infidelity and established the precedent amongst American youth that oral sex was not really sex, a constant barrage of insults directed at women from the Oval Office cannot help but mainstream that kind of behavior in society at large.
People figure that if the President is doing it, openly and without shame, it can’t really be all that bad. Every woman who sees the attacks on Kelly, Carly and Heidi and knows what they can expect to see in their own workplaces if this sort of bilge starts flowing out of the White House.
They know that in every office in America, there is a guy, and usually more than one, who has sat through hours and hours of Sexual Harassment training seminars and has still not gotten the memo. This guy thinks that what he does is just fine, and is just itching to let his Inner Pig out of the pen. How bad is that guy going to get if he starts hearing the things he wants to say coming out of the mouth of President Donald Trump?
Whether the gap is that big or not can be argued.
I think the gap is real, though, and NEEDS to be addressed.

But most Trump supporters are a tad bit ornery. I'm guessing they'd just hang up on the pollster. I know I would.

My wife and I both have an unfavorable opinion of him... but if he is the guy then he gets our votes. I suspect there are plenty of people that think negatively of him but still think he is one of the best choices left.
Well cowgirl you better get used to it, Trump is going to be your nominee. Suicide would be having Paul Ryan as nominee or Cruz at the convention getting the necessary votes and becoming the standard bearer. How come all you Cruz supporters never show Ted's numbers. If many of you were not so obsessed with Trump, and focused a little more on dragging your moribund candidate across the finish line first in one of these primaries you would be a lot happier bunch.
