It must have something to do with Frontier Communications. FreeRepublic is the only website I can’t access. I’m only able to get FR when I shut off wifi.

Using the IP address allows me to view the site, but won’t allow me to sign in. Keep getting “404 error message - That’s odd...Microsoft Edge can’t find this page”.

Frustrating, to say the least!

Seems like somebody is doing some form of DNS spoofing the site. This morning on multiple browsers my mobile device would not resolve the domain name of freerepublic.com - The sites at first glance seems to be being attacked/hacked. Most likely suspect is Robert Mercer's gang. Not all the name servers are corrupted.

Try AWS route 53 DNS very fast update times and huge edge network

DNS spoofing (or DNS cache poisoning) is a computer hacking attack, whereby data is introduced into a Domain Name System (DNS) resolver's cache, causing the name server to return an incorrect IP address, diverting traffic to the attacker's computer (or any other computer).

It’s more than Frontier Communications. I’m using Time Warner Road Runner on my MacBook Pro, and couldn’t connect to FR last night while in wireless mode. It was only after turning on my ethernet connection that I was finally able to connect. This problem was with both Safari and Firefox. Today I tried it in both modes, and it worked fine. Don’t know what the hell happened last night, but thankfully it’s working now. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I am getting the same with Frontier on home network.

LG smartphone with Verizon wireless is allowing me access.

No problem with any other web sites, just FR.
