The Miami media is HYPING this story because the GAY PRIDE parade is this weekend in Miami Beach. Note that this attack happened TWO WEEKS AGO.
NBC MIAMI is an OFFICIAL SPONSOR of that parade.
While there is NO EXCUSE for assault, some reports in the local media are that this young man and his partner were engaging in kissing activity in order to provoke or anger the idiot who was badgering them because of their sexuality.
No indication if the attacker might have been a jealous homosexual....only the repeated notion that these victims were TARGETED.

A lot of the time is it isn’t just affection, its bullying or showing off or they’re deliberately trying to annoy someone.

I simply avoid homosexuals, and have as little to do with them as possible. I have known quite a few, and they all have at least one serious problem caused by their “lifestyle” - disease, alchohol/drug-addiction, depression, suicide, promiscuity, violence, etc...
We are all imperfect beings, but let’s not celebrate our failings or promote harm as natural.

By and large, who cares. No matter how aggravated we get (although I don’t really understand why) gay people are not going to go away. It’s time to deal with it and move on. We have much, much bigger problems to worry about than if two women or men want to kiss each other. I couldn’t care less.

Agreed. The second we start punishing people for what they think as opposed to what they do (no matter how gross their thoughts might be) then that is the end.
How many people a day are attacked and yet this has to be news, because some turd pusher was involved.
Some of these people need to understand that they are not a special case and this happens all the time .
