Memory failed me, it was Hamilton Jordan, not Pat Caddell. Reasoning otherwise applies.

If its a meltdown to have over 250 Delegates going into New York...okay, then a meltdown it is!

Clarification:
I meant Trump has a 250 Delegate LEAD over Cruz! But you folks already knew that! ;-)

Especially when Trump wasnt suppose to win WI, the belly of the Establishment Beast Truer words were neve spoken:
The WI Democrat voting machine put its thumb on the scales in the Milwaukee area counties.
The numbers are clear - I just looked up the primary numbers on both sides for the 2008, 2012 & 2016 Wisconsin primaries.
See my posts #1490, #1565 & #1573 on the thread Live Thread--Wisconsin Primary--Tuesday, April 5, 2016

Manafort won't walk unless Trump let's him. What Trump has to do is manage the personalities as they struggle to perform and hold power. It was obvious to everyone that bringing in a heavy hitter like Manafort is going to threaten Lewandowski's power. Had to happen.
That said, these kerfuffles are typical for a campaign that is evolving and maturing.

I know, right? The media and Cruz supporters act like Wisconsin was make or break it for Trump when in reality it was only a must win for Cruz to stay alive. Trump only needed 9 delegates to stay exactly on track, he won 6, and going into NY with a huge lead.
Plus Rudy Guiliani has been holding back his Trump endorsement until closer to the NY primary, and that’s sure to give Trump an edge.
To: frankenMonkey
I'd guess a bit differently. FiveThirtyEight, {Nate Silver} has it at Trump with 758 to Cruz at 499.
I dunno at how they arrive at the numbers.

I'd guess a bit differently. Then you don't understand the game. That's OK, your "daddy" doesn't either.
To: fatez
Word is that Trump jumped into the race, not to become president, but to enhance his standing when he negotiated his next "Apprentice" deal.
That pretty much makes him a user.
Now when we need to hear him debate he is a no-show.

Mine are from the NY Times.
Some are more, some less.
Regardless, give Cruz an extra 100 and he still won’t make it.

It seemed to me they did not act like they expected to win Wisconsin. I doubt that would cause a “meltdown” but it is sensational headline.
