Ted Cruz’s campaign stop in the Bronx is a complete dud
New York Post ^ | 04/06/2016 | Jennifer Bain and Bob Fredericks

There are more than 1.4 million people in the Bronx — but Ted Cruz couldn’t even muster 100 at a campaign event in Parkchester with state Sen. Ruben Diaz Sr., a conservative Christian minister.

Cruz visited the Sabrosura Chinese-Dominican restaurant, where Diaz said the presidential candidate could “listen to the social, economic and spiritual needs of our community” while dining with other clergymen on the eatery’s famed fried rice and plantains.

BTW, in my day (circa 1998) Parkchester was a middle-class area.

He can always visit his masters at Goldman Sachs.

IMHO, Cruz should be spending most of his time in Pennsylvania and Maryland for the April 26th contest where he has some hope.

As far as New York on April 19th, ever since his comment about NY Values...he’s pretty much toast there.

I think the ‘New York Values’ attack on Cruz is an effective one - and not just in New York but much of the Northeast. Cruz is very sleazy and is constantly attacking Donald Trump, so it’s his turn to have something he said pounded against him. I hope he loses NY in a landslide and comes in third (like today’s poll suggested).

*************

If Cruz wants to possibly have any impact he best get out of NYC and
into the more rural areas where he may have some people listen to him.

Maybe Cruz won’t sell well in the Bronx. Or maybe nobody wanted to go to a “Dominican Chinese restaurant?!! Tacos with soy sauce? Eel burritos? Or? I’m sure it’ may be a Wonderful place but it frankly doesn’t sound like a particularly inviting venue to the uninitiated.

Ashley Cruz should have hired more “girls” through
his NY pimps. Would have been a larger crowd.

Of course Ted is a dud in NY. People here are not falling for his phony preacher BS. Of course if Ted swings by the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel he might find some things that interest him...

He should spend all his time in up-state where I assume the majority of the Republicans reside.

Why spend any time in an area that elected DeBlasio?

I think the meeting was about the planned size - the venue isn't designed to hold a large crowd.

Aside from about 70 ministers affiliated with Diaz, only a dozen voters turned up - and two of them were tossed out after screaming protests about the Texas senator's hardline stance on immigration.

Cruz ain’t nothing without Carly and Mom covering his backside. First words out of his mouth, in his Harvard Law School accent ... “Let’s be clear” ... what a detestable creep !!

Low turnout and a hapless GOP contender elected DeBlasio.

Cruz could not even fill a phone booth haha couldn’t happen to a better jerk

I hope he gets stuck in a 5 hour traffic jam on the way out

I am sure all he did was insult Donald Trump, earth to Cruz, you don’t come into New York to insult the home team. Its like a Houston Astos fan coming into New York to insult the Yankees, sure not everyone is a Yanks fan, some are Mets fans, but both Yanks and Mets fans will team together to kick your outsider butt.
