Ted Cruz’s campaign stop in the Bronx is a complete dud
New York Post ^ | 04/06/2016 | Jennifer Bain and Bob Fredericks

Posted on 04/06/2016 3:26:00 PM PDT by MaxistheBest

There are more than 1.4 million people in the Bronx — but Ted Cruz couldn’t even muster 100 at a campaign event in Parkchester with state Sen. Ruben Diaz Sr., a conservative Christian minister.

Cruz visited the Sabrosura Chinese-Dominican restaurant, where Diaz said the presidential candidate could “listen to the social, economic and spiritual needs of our community” while dining with other clergymen on the eatery’s famed fried rice and plantains.

If you’re ever in Tampa the Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City has Cuban and Spanish dishes and a Spanish flamenco show

Ybor City is a historic neighborhood in Tampa, Florida located just northeast of downtown. It was founded in the 1880s by cigar manufacturers and was populated by thousands of immigrants, mainly from Cuba, Spain and Italy. For the next 50 years, workers in Ybor City’s cigar factories rolled millions of cigars annually.

As far as New York on April 19th, ever since his comment about NY Values...he’s pretty much toast there.

Cruz will be mathematically eliminated in NY.

vs. 100 for Cruz.

Less than 100. 70 ministers, and 12 voters two of whom were left wing nut protesters.

Essentially he drew 10...but to be fair it doesn't sound like it was necessarily geared to draw people other than the ministers.

“he has the courage to go where he knows that he’s hated”

After looking at his face in the 3 pictures, I’d say it’s more like FEAR :)

Well, I was in a gas station and a mother and son walked in and asked if they took EBT. The guy said no, so they split. That probably doesn’t answer your question.

So, the Murdoch tabloid had a story critical of Sen. Cruz. What a shocker. In addition, Sabrosura is NOT in Parkchester. Typical, lazy reporting.

It may be delicious. But for Covaervative voters especially, I think a recognizable menu could help

Now, now...

New Yorker editor: Evict Trump

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/new-yorker-editor-evict-trump/article/2587850

David Remnick, editor of the liberal New Yorker magazine, says in an interview that if given the choice to evict someone from his city, it would be its most high-profile inhabitant who happens to be the Republican front-runner.

“He’s running for president,” Remnick told the Hollywood Reporter when asked to name someone he would kick out of New York.

“Donald Trump, for decades, occupied a kind of comic space in the New York ego-scape,” he said, referring to Trump’s storied history as a city tabloid fixture. “He was the guy who discovered, ‘If I just say outrageous things and behave like a cartoon of Louis XIV, I will become enormously famous. It doesn’t matter that I’m wrong or it doesn’t matter that I’m ill-informed and it doesn’t matter that I’m even racist. Some portion of people will find this hilarious.’”

“But now it’s not a question of whether or not he gets to put his name on the side of a skyscraper,” he added. “It’s whether he has the nuclear codes.”

Trump is currently leading the GOP field for the party’s presidential nomination. The next primary context takes place April 19 in New York, where Trump is leading state polls by double digits.

Yes, Cruz was speaking with ministers and likely re-affirming to them that his administration will defend their Constitutional right to religious freedom. And the Trump people, en masse, attack and demean him here. These Trump people are the most mean-spirited and vindictive people I think I’ve ever seen.

Yes, Cruz has the courage to go to the belly of the beast and also the courage to take on liberal New York Values.

Trump, ever the elitist, coined the term “New York Values” to explain why he is superior to fly-over people.

Trump is more than happy to kiss up to the New York media giants who promote those liberal values and in return they give him fat paychecks to be a TV actor.

Latest poll shows Cruz in third in NY behind Kasich.

WI was a Waterloo, but it wasn’t for Trump.
