Who’s going to deliver American culture from the due penalty of its willful amorality? Once upon a time - that was supposedly what conservatism was about.

That ship has sailed. I think now it is about delaying the collapse. At best, we might get a couple of good Emperors, a few Trajans and Marcus Aureliuses to try and compensate for the Neros and Caligulas.
