No. The requirements for American citizenship are not the same or as rigorous as the requirements for being eligible to run for the presidency. In the latter case, BOTH parents must be naturalized American citizens at the time of the candidate’s birth. Cruz’s parents were NOT BOTH naturalized American citizens at the time of his birth. His father did not become a naturalized American citizen until 2005! Cruz was born in 1970. Sorry, that’s not gonna work.
Sounds like they are trying to give Cruz the opportunity to salvage a bit of his respect, apologize for trying to dupe the public, and perhaps in the remainder of his life, by turning his life around right now, he can gain some modicum of forgiveness and acceptance by his fellow citizens.
Are you purposely ignoring the fact that it was the FOUNDERS who passed and signed into law the Naturalization Act of 1790. You do know it was signed into law by non other than George Washinton right?

No, you are not correct. The act you refer to is a Naturalization Act. If Cruz’s Mom or later Cruz himself provided documentation to the State Department that his circumstances fulfilled the requirements of the statute he would be eligable to be a Naturalized citizen, never a natural born citizen.

I am not the one purposely ignoring something. The Founders passed the 1790 Act and almost immediately realized it was flawed and not what they had meant to achieve. They repealed it and the replacement Law specifically did not grant natural born status to foreign born children of American citizens.

Cruz father had never been a citizen of the United states at the time of birth so even 1790 doesnt apply.

The father has to be a citizen AND a resident of the US. In other words, your father could be a US citizen, but never have lived here.
You, sir, do not have the slightest clue what you are talking about. No one born a US Citizen is naturalized. Naturalization is a form of citizenship that can ONLY be conferred after birth. Read the frikking US Code before shooting off your noxious blanks.
