As stated here:

Candidates congregate at CO GOP Assembly

the allegiances of the Colorado delegates will be uncertain right up to the first vote at the national convention.

"In the March caucuses, the party chose not to hold a straw poll so the state's delegates are free to choose the candidate they feel deserves support right up to the eve of the national convention in July."

The delegates who want to go to National have a history of telling their fellows who are voting for them (at the state convention) whatever they want to hear. For all we know, we could have another batch of Ron Paul supporters.

It makes sense for Colorado to go for Cruz with his stated position that the states have their own constitutional right to legalize marijuana. Trump seems to have adopted Krispy Kremes position that the first day on the job he would take Federal action to stop that.

At least thats what I think I read online somewhere that that is Trumps position, although nit necessarily on his first day.
