The Cruz campaign MADE UP the statement that Carson was going to make a “big announcement” the following week.
That was the Big Lie. CNN said NOTHING about a “big announcement”. The Carson people said NOTHING about a “big announcement”.
The Cruz campaign reported CNN’s speculation as fact. They could easily have confirmed their rumor with the Carson campaign before spreading it, but they didn’t.
Whether or not anyone changed their vote because of this is irrelevant.
You can spin it however you like, but a lie is a lie.
Is there ANY proof the chain of events affected the outcome in any way?
How does this make him a "liar"?
Rhetorical question for anyone else who might be honestly wondering. I know how you feel already.
