You still don't appear to understand my points. Pity that....

I doubt that when Trump did the things you are complaining about, he was seriously thinking about running for president in '16!

What's weirder and far worse, is a Canadian born, with one parent being a Cuban Citizen at the time of his foreign birth, imagining that he could get away with breaking with what's in the Constitution and Federal law, by ILLEGALLY running for president. This is especially true and pertinent, when one considers the FACT that when he was running for the Senate seat, in Texas, he KNEW, and clearly stated, in public and over the airwaves, just what a NBC is! Now, he lies and claims otherwise...how very WEIRD that is!

"Rule 40 was written to prevent Ron Paul ..."

If the rules are changed this year and Trump loses, he will call for riots.

If the rules are not changed to let Trump win, he will call for riots.

I actually DO know that; pet.

OTOH, these ARE the rules that all of the candidates have been and are working under, now.

One bright spot I see in all this slapstick tragedy that's going on is that the corrupt and unrepresentative nature of the process in general and the caucus systems in particular is making national headlines to an extent I have not seen before. Even if Cruz/GOPe do ultimately stop Trump, a sleeping giant seems to have been awakened; and the selection system upon which they depend is starting to crack.

I’m getting sick of hearing how 37% of the vote is a sacred mandate, give me a break.

We will see.

If Trump wins outright, my vote counts.
If Trump wins a contested convention, my vote counts.

If Trump is rejected by the GOP despite being the clear front runner, then it’s the GOP that no longer counts. Because if they do that, then they don’t offer an alternative to the Democrats and there is no way to reform them.

“I doubt that when Trump did the things you are complaining about, he was seriously thinking about running for president in ‘16!”

Probably not, I give him the benefit of the doubt. But hey, he was on pro-wrestling way back in 2013. Why was he on pro-wrestling in 2013 if he didn’t have to be and didn’t care about being president? He just dug it, right?

Ok, I’m not seeing why this is something to be over-looked or ignored or whatever.

What would happen if rule 40 prevents anyone from getting a majority, what then. Should the GOP just leave the spot blank in November. Trust me, when the number of ballots gets into double figures, Rule 40 is going to get tossed. Nobody wants the convention to turn into the “Iowa Baseball Confederacy”. A novel by the same author as “Field of Dreams” about a baseball game that goes into extra innings and never ends, it goes on for ever and ever.

There are only five states where the delegates are not bound to the candidate who won them in the primary.

These are the RNC's rules. Their own rules. So, how does Cruz get delegates that are BOUND to another candidate by the party's own rules?

Let me clarify the rules about bounded delegates. They are only bound on the first ballot, and some states up to the second ballot. On the third ballot, all the delegates are unbounded. Those are the rules. So smart candidates work on delegates to switch after they become unbound.

No, moron, he'll do no such thing!

Now be a good little lunatic and tell the matron on your ward that you want to go back to your padded cell and need a sleeping pill and more electric shock therapy.

And if Trump does not get 1237 he is mathematically eliminated.

You are confusing how delegates are assigned within each state, with the technicalities of the convention.

The individual state parties set the former, including any rules on "bound" delegate. The RNC establishes more general.rules governing the ci vention itself.

The RNC is the wrong entity to blame if you don't like the delegate selection rules within each state.

You’re exactly right.

The Cruz supporters also pretended that they wanted an “outsider” who would shake up DC. Cruz even used to run with the mantra that he would fight the “DC Cartel.” He doesn’t say that anymore. He has insider support and funding and all of a sudden those oh so principled holier than thou Conservatives who wanted an outsider,,,well,,,that’s exposed as BS! Total BS! They don’t care if their guys is already a pig feeding at the DC trough. That’s ok with them.

It’s called hypocrisy.

I will vote for the MAN who hasn’t been in DC screwing with the rules and playing cute games with boundaries.

I’ll vote for Trump. That’s just it.

Exactly. Now WHICH candidate has brought this all out into the open? HINT: It’s not pro-establishment Cruz.
