Unfortunately, the odds of ANY Republican (never mind conservative, just someone with an "R" after their name) winning the White House are slim. It seems to me that Trump is as likely as anyone else to win, and his apparent willingness to shake up the establishment is a plus.

That said, if he is nominated and doesn't make it to the White House, some of the Cruz fanatics around here will scream to their dying day that they TOLD us that he wouldn't win, and they sure knew better than the morons who thought Trump had a shot, etc.

You’ve got that right, and I suspect the reverse would happen if Ted Cruz won the nomination and then lost to Hillary or Sanders. When all is said and done, it is the GOP who really is behind all of the acrimony. Alas, the Stupid Party is also the Petty Party which means they are the Pitiful Party.
