Rules are one thing; corruption is something else. You mean it is okay with you that a state’s voters are cheated out of their voice? They did not vote to have themselves disenfranchised. That was done by the party elite who did it to help Cruz.
Like the Pharisees, you and other establishment types obsess over self-imposed rules, and miss the gospel... which in this case is "the citizens should get to vote, and our representatives should listen."
