Rushbo is tripping over his heels backing up. He said the parties were not public organizations but private clubs, that if we/Trump didn't understand that shame on us.
So be it. I'd like to see the GOPee down for the count. Short of that, I'd like to see that 'club' become a lot more exclusive.

That would be fine except that these two “private clubs” have control of our national elections.
They have set the rules for ballot access to insure that they dominate the government. They are a cartel, a two party monopoly.
But this isn’t a game. This is our right to vote. And with their games and byzantine rules they are mocking our ability to choose who will govern us.
Americans won’t tolerate this.
Let’s say that in July each year the NFL owners got together and voted on who they would like to win the division championships each year. Then in August each year, the sportswriters/sportscasters voted on who they would like to win the division championships each year. In September, the NFL commissioner chose the Super Bowl teams based on the outcomes of those two elections.
The fans then would be spared the bother of going to any other games all season. In fact, if their teams were not selected for the Super Bowl, they would not have to attend games at all. Heck there would be no need to even broadcast the games!
NFL is a “private club”. They can set their own rules, too. Would this be an appropriate parallel?
Let’s hope we throw the bums out.
Then the government does not need to recognize them in elections for public office ...
