The government should consider individuals financial resources when setting the bond amount for aliens in removal proceedings, the ACLU argues.
In a class lawsuit filed this month, the ACLU Foundation of Southern California and the ACLU Immigrants Rights Project say the federal government sets unacceptably high bond amounts for foreign nationals in deportation proceedings because it fails to consider their ability to pay. The result, the ACLU argues, is lengthier incarceration rates for poorer aliens.

Sure, set low bail so they can flee the country.
Why doesn’t the ACLU, La Raza, the SPLC and others just pay their bail?
(Amendment to Miranda Warning): If you cannot post bail, bail will be posted for you.
why not free bail? Heck- they get free everything else- why not bail too? Heck- pay them when they get out too- pay them not to commit crime-s but if they do- pay them anyways, and pay their bail-
It’s not like our seniors, disabled and veterans need mroe help or anything
I hope this is satire, but I doubt it. Expecting someone with no ties to our country to show up far a trial is silly. Illegals should automatically be held without bail until trial.
Illegals should be granted a speedy trial, then if convicted incarcerated either in their home country or here, and then whether guilty or innocent deported and barred from any legal entry and any path to citizenship.
But, only if you are in a protected class who has allegedly been discriminated against or dissed in years past.
Ah yes, the ACLU doing God’s work.
That rate right along with the orphan plea for the kid who killed his parents.
Sure, make Mexico bail them out or leave them inside. That would be the most fair thing to do.

Maybe these ACLU freaks can offer to take the place of any illegal alien they want released on bail. If/when the illegal flees, the ACLU freak has to serve 80% of whatever the maximum sentence would be for what the illegal was charged.
Think there would be any takers?
Shouldn’t that be IACLU? Or IICLU? It’s not AMERICAN’S liberties they’re protecting, after all. Haven’t been for as long as I can remember.
Read the excerpt before commenting. This has nothing to do with bail for committing crimes. It has to do with bail while awaiting REMOVAL proceedings. If you do not what that is refrain from commenting.
