D.O. - I have read a lot of the threads on this subject but I haven't found any discussion of, or even anyone curious about: HOW did this "Cruz ground game" convert people to be delegates for him? Not necessarily talking Colorado, but the other states where Trump won, moved on, and Cruz people stayed and did something to make the delegates committed to Trump FLIP to Cruz. Was it the Cruz people's mastery of the issues and skills at persuasion that "converted" these people from Trump to Cruz? Because it seems to me, knowing politics, Washington, big money donors and human nature, that it SOUNDS like BRIBES were involved, and I have read elsewhere that in situations like this in other elections, extortion or blackmail has been involved in situations of "flipping" delegates.

What's your opinion? Why, in defending how well the Cruz people play the game or understand the rules---why don't they share with us HOW they accomplish this? Are delegates that easily persuaded to desert the candidate for whom they were elected delegate? OR are other "transactions" involved?

Selected delegates:
1) want to go to the convention !... first & foremost
2) where they will cast a vote on the 1st ballot for whomever their constituency preferred
3) but can vote their personal preference in subsequent ballots, which is what cruz has been keying upon

Cruz has run rings around Trump's "best people". Trump thinks the magnanimity of his personality will change the world, whereas Cruz will be 3 steps ahead.

I'll vote for Trump if nominated but he's not the best suited. He'll shake things up. I'm sure, but Ted knows where the shakin' should happen, and how to do it.

I know, you didn’t ask me, but of course it’s bribes. Follow the money, they say.

Boy, have my eyes been opened in the past week. I wish I had known all this 52 years ago, the first time I was an alternate delegate - I could have made a lucrative career out of being a delegate. (If I had no ethics) I wonder how many do just that.
