Of course he and his supporters have to say that, and no doubt many of them believe it too. And I'm sure some people who are a little more distant from the process will agree.
But elections are numbers affairs, and it is also true that some people will see things the other way.
Obviously casting blame works, but there has to be enough truth in the claim to make it stick, otherwise, even though converts are gained, the net result is not necessarily positive.
Now, as for you, personally, I've followed your posts informally for a few weeks now, and FWIW, you have over-reached with your claims. "Trumps campaign is de facto threatening people" being just one example. I'm sure you have a number of acolytes and that your circle of friends is pretty big.
But as far as I am concerned, nothing you say is true. Your credibility is shot. My impression of you is that you have mo morals, no scruples, and no honor. I don't read what you post with any positive interest, and I will never engage in a substantive dialog with you. Never. And I mean it. I'm sure you don't care, after all this is just an internet forum, and I am just another anonymous voice. But you are getting some feedback here.
Your candidate has the same sort of chemistry and calculus going on with the public - I'm not saying he is as big a liar as you are, I don't think he is, but chronic stretching of the truth carries a risk of alienating some people.
For me, it is entertaining, sometimes even exciting to watch and participate in. And I am grateful for the illumination the stress has shed, on the nature of many of the people who contribute their musings to FR.
My honest question to some of these posters (not that I would expect an honest answer) is: "how much are you getting paid to be here, and is it per post or length, and do you get bonuses for posting something over-the-top outrageous and successfully getting someone to believe it?"
