But Cruz just said he has won 11 elections in a row, how can this be??

Cruz considers each of the GOPe selections of the districts in Colorado as a separate “election”. Lyin ‘ Ted is a lawyer who prevaricates with impunity.

Cruz is being carried entirely by the media.

Yes he is being carried by the media but only with the help and the approval of the GOPe and Uniparty.

Cruz doesn’t have enough delegates to win the first ballot.

He ALSO doesn’t have enough to win the second ballot.

NO ONE is pointing that out.

It would be insane for the GOP to go with any other candidate besides Trump. How could the GOP deny the one candidate who won EVERY state in the South, swept the Northeast, handedly won rust belt states of Illinois, Michigan, and soon Pennsylvania? He has won the West so far in the states of Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, and leading in polls in California.

The GOP has a choice. They can stand behind Trump and end the party at the GOP, or deny him and end the GOP Party.

[Lyin’ Ted will claim four 3rd place losses are a win, somehow.]

He and minions are probably, frantically, going through every arcane election rules dating back decades, in every upcoming state, to find something to disqualify Trump.

Either Cruz is naive to believe that the GOPe will give him the nomination or he is fully on board with the tactic to nominate a third “compromise” candidate. If the latter he can continue to “fight” the establish in word while winking at their actions raising money all the time for his personal use.

Cruz would have to win 708 of the remaining 789 delegates to attain 1,237. After the NE states vote, it will be possible that Cruz will mathematically be unable to get to 1,237.

Trump has to win 480 of the remaining 789 delegates.

Kasich is mathematically out. He would need 1,093 delegates and only 789 are available. Even cutting a deal with Rubio would not be enough to give Kasich 2nd place.

Based on current ‘hard’ delegate count at thegreenpapers.com.

==

I noticed a new giddy tone on FoxNews this morning: Cruz is showing himself as a better dealmaker because he is working behind the scenes and managing to finagle delegates away from Trump.

It is possible that Cruz is OK with a different person coming out of the convention than himself just as long as it isn’t Trump.

Somehow, though, I feel like he wants it to be himself.

Just my gut feel.

The New York poll means that it is now mathematically impossible for Cruz to win on the first ballot.

The ‘finagling’ is, as Paul Manafort pointed out last night, NOT about 1st round delegates. Those that are pledged are still pledged. Those that are ‘free’ are free UNTIL they cast their ballots NO MATTER who they might have made a backroom deal with. They can change their minds for a better deal up to the very last second.

Manafort also pointed out that many of Cruz’s finagled delegates are SECOND ROUND promises.

Again, no matter what deal Cruz thinks they’ve made, they can change their minds.

It’s not like they sign a contract.

Pennsylvania only awards 17 of the 71 delegates to the winner of the primary. The rest are are elected separately on the ballot but “unbound”. That means selected by the GOPe to be on the ballot but to represent them at the convention. CRuz can come in third in the people vote and have the most delegates given to him by the GOPe.

cruz people tout that trump’s inability to figure out the arcane, illogical Colorado primary scheme, proves he isn’t qualified to be president.
I say cruz does nothing but lie about primary victories,
obsess about trump to the degree that no matter what question he is asked, it starts off with an attack on trump, then cruz is not qualified to be president.
cruz is a smarmy, sanctimonious, demagogue. he is clearly not even eligible to be president, due to his place of birth and non citizen parent. the democrats will shred him on that in a general election.

I understand that many of the unbound delegates have told their home districts that they will vote the way their district votes.

IOW, Trump will get the lion’s share of their support.

AND, with Manafort in charge, who just defeated the Cruz team in deal-making in Missouri, now that he’s on board, and especially with the natural leaning toward a fellow North easterner, expect the majority of the Pennsylvania unbound delegates to go to Trump.

Trump claimed a few months back that upstate NY is Trump territory. Your support for him indicates he is correct. Is that what you are seeing and hearing?
