Bernie has repeatedly said he would not run third party.
But I do believe he thinks he can win a four-way split.

Interesting times.

What a waste of time we have things to look at and fix in this country!

Total irrelevance is top priority today.

Sanders and Trump would outpoll Cruz and Hillary in a four way race. The only question (imo) is who would do worse, Cruz or Clinton

Three reasons that won't happen:

1. It's too late to set up a third party run in many states.

2. Many other states have "sore loser" laws that bar a thir party run by a candidate who appeared on a primary ballot.

3. Trump is not going to finance a hopeless third party run out of his own pocket. And few big donors would contribute to same.

If he believed that, Trump would probably cut a deal with Rubio or Kasich, or even Cruz if necessary to get him across the line.

Front runner status gives him a lot of aces and a lot of options. There is no reason to fold.
