Of course, you may be right in the sense that enough voters, whose "feelings" are that the nomination just has to go to the not-majority plurality winner, will be disappointed enough that we end up with Hillary. I already expect that at this point: the Cruz - Trump battle is so nasty that the wounds won't heal enough, whoever gets nominated.

The American people are beside themselves with anger and contempt, over the way the Republicans have betrayed us during the last seven years. They’re in no mood to have The Rules ‘explained’ to them by a pack of thieving whores who’ve already sold them out to the globalist elites. They want their damned country back, and see only one guy in the race who looks like he can remotely get it done without bbloodshed.
If the people want one thing, and the political elites want another, there’s going to be tension. Great tension. If the political elites decide their party Rules trump the broad will of the people, there will be a revolt.
