"What I can share with you at this time is information has been referred to the Indiana State Police that alleges threatening emails have been sent to some Indiana delegates that will be participating in the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, OH," said Capt. David Bursten, a state police spokesman. "Presently the Indiana State Police is reviewing the information to determine if it may cross the line of free speech and could be considered criminal in nature."

Stone does not work for trump. Roger has set up an organization to lobby delegates to keep them honest , to reflect the voters choice

Nice try at a unwarranted Smear. Stone does not work for Trump, but you knew that before posting.

It wasn't a try because it wasn't a smear. I did not say that Stone presently works for Trump. I described him as a confrere. Rick Tyler of the Cruz campaign is also a confrere (of Cruz') who is not on the payroll. Just this week it was published that Stone talks to Trump regularly.

You didn't quote my original post and an objective person would have a hard time finding the hint of a smear in it. I avoid generally calling calling Trump supporters names or impugn their motives, as I do not like mine being called into question, and because I admire and respect to many Trumpers.

I am just establishing a time line of facts. I think Trump can bring a lot to the table, but my respect does not extend to Roger Stone and his former wife Ann, who founded "Republicans for Choice" while they were married.

Does “lobbied in person” include Trumps favorite response of getting punched in the face? When Stone made the comment he said nothing about lobbying in person. He has a history of being a henchman, so it is not surprising people would interpret his comment as intimidation.

Maybe it would be better to read Stone’s actual remarks rather than extrapolate and guess.

The actual quote is this:

“If you’re from Pennsylvania, we’ll tell you who the culprits are. We urge you to visit their hotel and find them. You have a right to discuss this if you voted in the Pennsylvania primary, for example, and your votes are being disallowed.”

I think having a right to discuss your vote being disallowed or ignored by a delegate representing the voters interests is a far cry from “punching someone in the face”.

He is not telling people to go their home. We give out politicians office numbers and addresses all the time.
Difference here, is their hotel rooms are the only place that the public “could” have access to the delegates since the convention would not give the public entrance.

We always say, talk to your congressman. The delegates are filling an important role and should be held accountable as well.

Yeah, like it wasn’t Trump supporters who threatened Megyn Kelly, Michelle Fields and CO delegates along with others? I am NOT saying all or even many Trump supporters are violent. One death threat is too many.

That’s possible, but I have the sneaking suspicion he is working for Trump off the books.
Plausible deniability you know.

Yeah right. And I bet he is working hard to ensure Cruz delegates stay loyal too. LOL.

“Stone does not work for Trump...”

Not anymore, but he is still considered a “surrogate” for the Trump campaign.

Actually, that is only the latest quote from stone about giving out delegate hotel information. Stone has a history of being a campaign thug, and he seems to fit well with Trump and his mentality.

Maybe if he spent more time learning the rules of delegate selection and less time trying to intimidate folks he would have more success.

Might want to study up on Trump’s character, hes not sneaky like that, if he wants to damage he gets in your face and does it himself. Cruz is sneaky, most professional politicians are sneaky. Trump is very direct.

Hey trick editor, you took that out of context and you knew that.

Nope.

I win Louisiana by a lot. I get thousands of more votes than Cruz, and then I find out I get less delegates. Hey, I'm somebody coming in to Make America Great Again, I'm here to do something positive, I'm an outsider.

The system is rigged. I see it now, 100%. And not just on our side, but I think it is worse on the Republican side. Look at Colorado -- the people don't get a chance to vote.

Trump: The Two-Party Political System Is 100% Rigged, "It's A Crooked Deal," "I See It With Bernie Too"

Trump on Colorado: 'System Is Rigged, 100 Percent'

Yep:

” In the Denver area, Colorado itself. They’re going absolutely crazy because they weren’t given a vote, this was [chosen] by politicians. It is a crooked deal. And I see it with Bernie too — I’ve gotten millions more votes. Not just a couple, millions more votes than Cruz. And I’ve gotten hundreds of delegates more. And we keep fighting, fighting, fighting, and then you have Colorado where they choose the delegates. And it is not a system.”

Context was how BOTH parties are being crooked with delegates. You lose. As that shows he was flipping back and forth between how the Democrats were rigging the delegates and how Republicans were rigging the delegates.

Nice try. but Bernie is not a republican.

Your Desperation is showing. Too many saw the entire section not just the cut out clip and we know it was a discussion on both parties rigging the delegates but it was worse for us because we are not supposed to be as dirty as the democrats.

Only the GOPe crowd pushing the stupid meme Trump is a Democrat can take what was said so out of context

I quoted what came before. Now you're "editing". Trump is the Clinton's 21st century Ross Perot.

Good luck with that.

I don’t care about what Stone did in the 1970’s. That’s 40 years ago, hard to believe.

Stone knows the rules but was chased out of the campaign by Lewidowski. Trump is the one who thought, mistakenly, that things are much simpler and straight forward, like the rest of us. That is why Trump hired Manafort, once he saw what the heck was going on.

Many of us registered R’s have historically been resigned to backing the Republican nominee and have not gotten intensely involved in the primaries. I would say many of us are really pretty stunned by the Republican nomination process now that we are learning the nitty, gritty.

See, many of us have just trusted the party for years. The good thing about this campaign, is that we are learning more about the political machinations that determine our nominee.

Know how ya hear people say each election, “Reagan was the last candidate that I got to vote for actually liked. How come the Republicans give us all these crappy nominees, like Dole and McCain?”

Now we know WHY.
