There is nothing remarkable about this event.

It is routine. Both forces training.

I've personally seen it dozens of times.

"But to the pussified modern USN I’m sure an airshow was horrifying."

Do you think the USN could not fight, and win, against any and every adversary?

While we would take substantial losses, we could sink every naval combatant in the world in a few days.

It's a level of dominance rarely seen in history.

And you're calling them "pussified".

Disgraceful.

[ The shock move came as a Polish helicopter was taking off from the US Destroyer on Tuesday evening. ]

This was the line that caught my eye. To me, this was the message.

According to David Muir of ABC tonight, that is the Russian fighter-bomber “hovering” above the U.S. warship.

Liberal journalists. With a straight face they speak.

You could not have captured the primitive mentality more succinctly!

Well, why not? America is everybody’s welcome mat anymore. They should never have been allowed to get that close. Incompetent.

I dare say if a Russian warship was conducting exercises with the Cuban navy 70 miles off the coast of Texas the US Air Force and Navy might respond in a very similar way to the Russians in this case.

Russia does not own the Baltic Sea. The ship was in international waters and actually quite far from Russia proper.

I believe Russians do it largely because they want to report how "mighty Russia scares puny Americans" in their national TV. Giving plebs bread has been a bit troublesome as the oil prices are record low, so they'll be given double the circus.

The Russians are counting coup just the Indians used to do. They know our ships won’t fire on them. Just another sign of disrespect courtesy of Barack Obama.

This is a return to what used to go on - which is the significant part - these buzzes were standard during the Cold War. This means that the dominance the USA had after the Cold War (basically running the show) is pretty much over in some local parts of the world. We had 8 stupid years of Clinton followed by 8 stupid years of W and then 8 stupid years of Obama that basically ensured that a revived Russia will view American foreign policy as insane and hostile - basically they may see the USA as retarded monkeys with flame throwers for what was done these last 16 years under 3 presidents.

Man, you got that right.

Our subs and theirs used to get this close to one another and they're a lot more difficult to maneuver if a little something unexpected happens.

Barry brought the hood mentality to DC along with his neocon cowboys, that's for damn sure and it hasn't helped this country one bit.

In the mean time, though, flip-flops and doo dads from China are on sale cheap at Wally World. Prices for weapons critical microchips we import from China, not so cheap.

Me too. No accident. They were listening and watching.

Yep. Not too hard to do.

And they wanted to send one more message. This is more than just harassing a ship.
