There was a time when people could hand out checks on the floor of the Texas legislature. I think some chicken magnate was doing it. I’m not sure it’s illegal now but they stopped doing it because it didn’t look good.
Freebies, promises or schmoozing to get a delegate to flip is disgusting. I feel that way now and I would feel the same way if they were given a ride on Trump Force 1 and a relaxing stay at Mar-A-Lago. It may be legal but it certainly isnt ethical. It stinks to high heaven
Now they just do it out of sight. Maybe Paypal.
Interesting. I guess man has always been rotten, it just ebbs and flows in intensity through history, all depending on the kindness of God and His restraining power.
In 2015 nuclear energy giant Exelon was paying poor black people $15 or $15/hour to sit in the hearings of the DC Public Service Commission with matching green shirts and matching pro Exelon signs. Also promising community groups money to support them at the hearing, and $50 to each ratepayer. Since the PSC has voted 2 to 1 for Exelon, DC,MD, DE, and NJ are all stuck with Exelon’s 23 aging nuclear plants many of which have licenses due to expire in the next 10 years and cost over $1 billion to decommission.
Where’s the proof people are being paid or coerced into voting for Cruz, against their will?
