“Prescriptions are brand specific.”

For good reason, based on my experience. My eye doc said that there are subtle differences in fit, comfort, etc. between brands, even if the nominal size is the same. He proved it when he gave me sample lenses from about 6 different combo’s of products and makers before I found one that felt right. He would have been glad to write a prescription for whichever type I wanted, and cost had nothing to do with it. An imperfectly fitting contact lens is misery and unhealthy, whatever the price.

Maybe some people have more “generic” eyes, but I think the author is blinded either by ideology or $$$$.
