Its not a political event, hes a guest speaker. Stop whining like Cruz.

A new entry for the American lexicon:

Cruzing: To whine annoyingly and unnecessarily.
[Mother to children in the back seat] "Will you two stop cruzing! We'll get to the playground soon!"

Read between the lines.

He’s talking about being able to get things done. Being able to sort through all the logistics, get together the right people, coordinate all the dirt work, concrete, wiring, structural work, personnel and finish it ahead of schedule and under budget. Ever see a politician do that? He’ll have to do the same thing as President, put together the right people and deal with a budget that is dead in the water. Someone with a business frame of mind is the best bet for that. Politicians got us here, they won’t get us out of it.

Name one politician who has had to meet payroll for 1000 employees week after week, month after month for the duration of a 4 year project and finish ahead of schedule and under budget every time. Hillary can barely spell budget.

Talking about values was a good play, and he was right., Everything he mentioned was things we really need to see in this country again. Who do you know that is proud of his country, proud of his town, proud of the job he does, glad to have a great police department keeping his family safe?

He’s talking about being an American first and a political critter second.

“...he left out the part where he finished $750,000 under budget.”

You’re right about that. It’s a great story of government waste and also it exemplifies Trump’s skills as a builder.

The Wollman rink project story has become such a part of New York’s legendary history. The man certainly has led an amazing life.

He outlined new York values...honesty, direct talking, courage, family values, etc. etc.

“electing responsible politicians”...uh, duh, that’s not a “value”

Ok, hold your nose, just vote for Trump.ha

How in the world is “electing responsible politicians” a “value,” but bravery and self-sacrifice is not?? I agree with Trump that New Yorkers’ frankness and straightforwardness and their industriousness and can-do attitude are also core New York values. For some reason, Cruz supporters seem determined to only focus on the negative New York values, while hating it if anyone brings up positive ones, as if demonizing the values of millions of Americans as totally bad is a good move for someone trying to representing the entire U.S.

If you really feel that all he was doing tonight was displaying “pride,” then I’m afraid you either weren’t noticing what he was actually doing or your view was too clouded by your pre-conceived biases. Trump gave concrete examples of just the sort of government ineptitude and waste that he wants to cut through and eliminate. He has shown that even though he has not served in elected office, he has been very effective in the past in doing just this and in being able to solve big challenges.

Still waiting for something concrete.

Were the technical aspects of solving the ice rink construction problem difficult to follow ?

When I was listeniing to Trump over satellite radio (on my way come in the commute driving home after a hard days work), only audio, yet Trump so connected, and without even going into much politics, so uplifting, so positive, reminding me as well of our FDNY and NYPD and those in construction, and the NY restsurant workers, and everyone, honestly I got choaked up.

I think Trump and his delivery tonight was the best I have heard, so part of life, so real and unscripted, it was a seminal moment.

There was some focus group just after, with some horrible Cruzbot freak screeching about how dare anyone talk about the great New Yorkers and our police, fire, first responders during 911, this women was so freaky and ugly in her soul that she just gave Trump hundreds of thousands more votes, thank you Cruzbot witch for helping Trump get elected as you are the examplar of so many Cruz-Beck freak that every normal person wants to avoid.

Kasich was ok.

The next focus group, yet another Cruzbot mental case yelling Kasich works for Trump in a conspiracy. I am not sure how he concluded that, maybe that plastic Jesus that lights up in the corner of his apartment told him.

Next came Cruz. He was a scripted windup freak robot and everything of a classic politician and lawyer that most Americans have had enough of, he was horrible. I don’t think he will even get reelected to his Senate seat, he can only work with the Party Syndicate to disenfranchise the vote with syndycalist taftics. He repeated the same lines I have heard and so fake, the claps were so weak it was pathetic. He also looked like his battery system was Jeb Bush level. He is too small of a man for a big town like New York, and too selfish and creepy and crony for a big country like America. He should run for President for some island nation, even then he probably would still need to cheat, perhaps Papua New Guinea would fit. What a turkey. Even Kasich is better a guy than this Falangist. No wonder he cannot win the majority vote. Then FOX cut in with some echo chamber feed-mic from the tables, and you cou,d actually hear the knives and forms or something, they tried to put the mic next to a couple of Cruzoids but even then you could hear folks laughing at Ted. By the way, is he getting a double-chin? Man, it only adds tp his Nixonian look and demeanor. Pass the cheesecake. New York cheesecake, please. Mr. Haney needs to go back to Green Acres, but as the guy can only talk about “winning delegates” but not “winning votes”, man this guy is obviously a dangerous creep of the Syndicate that we need to stop.

I remember every word of Trump, and already forgot everything Cruz said other than he was a creep and very unimpressionable. Uggg, Cruz is Uggg. I think God caused Ted’s audio issues and feed, because God really has had enough of him as well.

The focus group on Fox really exemplifies some of the worst traits of many of Cruz’s most devoted followers in my opinion. First you have this angry, shouting, belligerent blonde woman, who wants to pretend that Cruz only meant “liberal values” when he said “New York values,” but somehow she didn’t explain why only New York has these sort of liberal values and not San Francisco, Chicago, Portland, Seattle, Los Angeles, Boston, Houston, etc. Cruz didn’t need to single out a part of country for attack, if he really just meant “liberal values.” He thought attacking New Yorkers would play well in Iowa, and now he’s trying to backtrack from it. She kept trying to interrupt and cut off other speakers too, as she seemed the most intolerant of others’ ideas of any on the panel.

Then there was the one guy that presented an extremely distorted version of Trump’s interview with Tim Russert. He said that this interview occurred TWO years ago (after Russert was long dead in fact). It actually happened in 1999, SEVENTEEN years ago. He said that Trump told Russert that because of his “New York values” he supports gay marriage, gun control, and abortion.

First of all, Trump never mentioned “New York values”—that is a Cruz neologism, although he did talk about being from New York having an effect on his views (which would be true of anyone regardless of where they are from). More importantly, he didn’t mention gun control in this regard at all (Trump was much farther to the right on that issue at the time compared to the average resident of NYC, as his 2000 book The America We Deserve shows, so it wouldn’t have made sense anyway). He also, unlike what many Cruz supporters have claimed, did not say he supported gay marriage in that interview. He said he hadn’t made up his mind on it yet. In fact, I’ve never seen any evidence that Trump was ever at any time in favor of gay marriage—not that that’s stopped Lyin’ Ted from asserting it. Trump did say that he supported abortion in the interview, but once again that was almost two decades ago and people change their minds over that length of time with extraordinary frequency.

And, of course, there was the woman who was disgusted that Trump brought up 9/11, because apparently people are only allowed to mention bad NY values and it’s horrifying if they bring up good ones.

Just to add to my last post, I meant to specify exactly which bad traits of (some) Cruz supporters I think these people exemplify: 1) intolerance of others’ opinions and demands of ideological orthodoxy, 2) pushing untruths, especially about Trump, and 3) being hypocritical, for example attacking in one way and being outraged if attacked back in like manner or in over-the-top attempts at justification (yes, Trump people are often guilty of that one too).

One thing I have to point out, I can’t remember if it was $750,000 under budget, or $75,000...

Either way, I’ve never seen a politician do any thing under budget. They’ve gotten us $20 trillion in debt so far...That will be the hardest part for Trump to deal with. Even with is business sense, that’s a lot of money to pay back and he will only have 4 years to try.

Your rude post is so full of lies, that I won’t even address each one.

You obviously did NOT listen to the same Trump speech from tonight’s GOP Gala that was broadcast.

You are obviously on the wrong thread.

Don’t you have a cRuz....or KaSick speech thread to crash with your incredible *insight*?
