Plattsburgh, NY

Friday, April 15, 2016: LIVE Stream of the Donald J. Trump for President Rally in Plattsburgh, NY at the Crete Civic Center beginning at 3:00 PM EDT.

Plattsburgh is a city in and the county seat of Clinton County, New York, in the United States. The population was 19,989 at the 2010 census.

Plattsburgh was founded by Zephaniah Platt in 1785 after he was granted the land by George Clinton. In granting land to Zephaniah Platt of Poughkeepsie, New York - who went on to establish the new city of Plattsburgh to buffer emerging American interests in the Saint Lawrence River valley and Lake Champlain valley after the American victory in the American Revolutionary War - the centralized American authority proclaimed the area including and surrounding the old French trading areas and Iroquois settlement to be refounded as the settlement of Plattsburgh in 1785.

I have to say “Will spoken and gracious from a true Trump supporter”.

“Dick Tracy: Is the enemy of my enemy my friend, or the enemy of my friend my enemy?

Pat Patton: What?

Dick Tracy: Or enemy of my enemy my enemy?

P. Patton: What’d he say?

Dick Tracy: The enemy of my enemy is my enemy.

Sam Catchen: He said the enemy of his enemy is his enemy.

Pat Patton: Oh.”

Thank you. I can't imagine why he thought that kind of crowd would enjoy his stump speech.

I acknowledge that Trump had an advantage... he probably knew most of the big money folks personally... but Cruz could have done something different.

He did a Tonight Show appearance last night, with a skit where he had a phone call with Donald Trump (played by Fallon). It was funny and he made fun of himself a little bit.

It was the most human Cruz has appeared. So, he could have done something... he just chose not to.

I agree, KC!

I liked him in Congress fighting for budget restraints, etc. and was happy when he won Gov of Ohio. But, he seems so different now. He’s stooped-shoulders and often looks just kinda frumpy - - what was the MSM used to say about GW - he doesn’t have “gravitas”.

I don’t know if it’s a campaign thing, trying to get out that he’s the “nice one” or what, but I expect him to break out at a campaign stop asking everyone to hold hands and sing Kumbaya.

I agree, Dick.

Kasich wouldn’t be my first choice, though he’s worked extensively in Congress on budgets, apparently knows foreign relations (just ask him, he was on the committee), and it would be great to get the Ohio electoral votes.

My concern is that the good things he did in Congress were some years ago (when Reps and Dims seem to work together at least occasionally). Total different ballgame now - as an example, I don’t think there are any Blue Dog Dims left in Congress (most of them left or turned Pubbie). Even some of the Pubbies are more like Dims. He definitely has more experience than Lil’ Marco, and, I’m not sure that Trump needs Marco to win FL. That said, Marco is much younger and may draw some votes from the yutes and Hispanics. Trump can possibly groom him and get him to see the right way on illegals, etc. and keep him on a short leash.

The Colorado protest is supposed to start in an hour or so. Anybody know anyone going?

Ben Carson weighed in on the slimey rules comparing them to Jim Crow rules.

I frankly don’t give a damn about unifying the party THEIR WAY!!! Trump and Bernie are bringing ALL of this establishment crap out in the open!!! Our FOUNDERS wanted this country run by ordinary business people then they were to return home to their families and businesses!!! The ESTABLISHMENT on both sides has made sure this can’t and won’t happen, this BEAST has become so huge with special interests and huge DONORS the people don’t matter any longer!!! These BASTARDS on both sides don’t give a damn about how this nation was founded and I am supposed to care about party unity, THEY ALL need to go home and find out what the hell it is like to run a business or get a paycheck from a company and NOT the government teat!!! SCREW party unity!!!!

No one listens to me when I opine on this, but here goes anyway...

Trump is making a play to peel off Bernie supporters from Hillary once she inevitably beats him.

This "disenfranchisement" thing is aimed square at them. He's said several times lately that he can't figure out how Bernie keeps winning all these states, but they say he can't win the nomination. See how unfair it is? We're both getting screwed!

These Bernie loons don't like Hillary, about a third say they refuse to vote for her. I think Trump believes he can peel some of them off, or at least get them to sit home. He might be right.

One thing is for sure... none of the other R's would have the imagination to even consider the possibility.

Thanks SC.

Even if it’s huge, not sure media will cover it.
They want everyone to think only Trump is whining. Wouldn’t want to show actual disenfranchised voters.

Might find something on Twitter.

I’ve listened to you, Dick. And, I agree with you (I’ve also heard Trump mentioned the unfairness to Bernie lately). In fact, there was a guy on this a.m. that was pro Bernie, they asked him what if it was between Hillary and Trump and he said he would vote for Trump. There was a political and/or MSM guy on FBN yesterday - same question, same answer.

Kasich would be the olive branch to the establishment wing of the GOP.
He seems to have the kind of pedigree that Trump alluded to, with a lengthy stretch in DC, plus the executive experience as a governor.
Also, Ohio is a swing state with 18 electoral votes.

His speech at the NY GOP Gala seemed to be well received based on the numerous applause I heard, and in listening to it, as much as it pains me to say so, was factual and filled with a number of political accomplishments. Preparing to hold my nose for the umpteenth time.

Is it 5 o’clock? I feel like a stiff drink is in order after coming to terms with these cold hard facts.

Kasich says he would serve no candidate as their VP. Maybe his ego is that big and he won’t- fingers, toes, legs, and eyes all crossed for that one.

I think you two could agree the Kit cat should be given the honor of a nickname that well suits the excitable passion she so well exhibits.

In the spirit of Donald J Trump, without a doubt the King of nicknames,

We give Kit cat the name of “Yosemite Sam”...( a gun slinging prospector) a most fitting name.

According to Plattsburgh City Mayor Jim Calnon, Donald Trump’s campaign rally will be held at the Crete Civic Center Friday.

Tickets for the event can be obtained on Donald Trump’s website. Tickets are free and will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

Officials say a ticket does not guarantee a spot inside. Once the venue reaches capacity of around 4,000 people, no one else will be allowed in.

ALSO

Here comes Trump: Presidential candidate descends on Hartford

Where the presidential candidate goes, so go his supporters – and his protesters. This is why Friday night’s event at the Connecticut Convention Center promises to be packed.

With 8,000 available tickets, the venue will be standing room only. Already there are protest plans: “All out to protest Trump” is a Facebook event that has gathered interest and RSVPs from over 800 people, including University of Connecticut students......

Thank you for the venue info - I’m always curious about that.

I wonder if the students will have a few parties and/or brewskis before the protest and then after.

You would think these students would have sports to attend or something better than protesting. A lot of kids just stay on campus’ and drink the week end. What did I just say? Protest or drink, which sounds like more fun? Heaven forbid they opt out to study.

I guess we’ll soon see.
