My dad talked about Sophie Tucker quite a lot. He remembered radio and the big names back then He would say she’s ,”The Last of the Red Hot Mamas”. I’d wonder what the heck was he talking about. lol I do wish I had listened to my dad more closely. He talked a lot at the dinner table about people in politics and the news. He read the Louisville paper from front to back every day.(still very Liberal)
I think one of her most famous songs was “Some of These Days” my aunts used to sing it every now and then.
