I’ve said MANY times ‘Trump will win the popular vote in PA, but the delegates have, as usual, been bought off by Gleason and the RNC.” Why don’t they advertise who the delegates support? They are bought.
Quirky rules? Er, no. A quirky rule would be one requiring a voter to show up wearing a cowboy hat. These are corrupt rules, as they vest ultimate power not in the electorate but in a handful of party insiders.
And long-term, this is not a Trump vs. Cruz issue. It's an electorate vs. party insider issue. And since the insiders like neither Trump nor Cruz, I expect we'll be seeing more of this.
GO TURD!
I think if it’s raining on election day, then the plurality winner should get more delegates. If it’s not raining, the person who comes in second should get them.
If it’s windy, above 20mph gusts, but below 30mph gusts, then the last place person should get the majority of the delegates.
If it’s windy AND raining, well then we’ve got trouble. If the gusts go above 30, the equation needs two chalkboards.
Makes as much sense as what I’ve been reading for the past month.
Predicting another “Sore Gore” tally?
That is possible, but unlikely. Many of the 54 uncommitted delegates in PA say they’ll vote for state winner. Tom Marino says Trump will get 50+.
This isn’t democracy. It’s Tammany Hall without the coverup.
You can’t polish a Turd Cruz.
Damn you Ted you cheated by putting in more effort and understanding the rules. That is just totally wrong. That is unless Trump wins.
HAHA, everything is OK as long as Trump gets his way.
And that my friends exposes the corruption in the primary process. Of course the Cruz supporters are very happy to bypass the wishes of the voters just so that their candidate wins. Their hypocrisy is being exposed time and again.
Yeh because we need more dems voting for republican candidates with cross over voting like here in Michigan. So much better to let the dems choose our candidates. Unless the 20,000 cross over dems are in a state Trump wins then it is OK.
I live in PA and have a list of the unbound delegates and who they support. Over 60% have pledged to vote for whoever their district chooses, on the first ballot. So if Trump does well, he will get the majority of unbound delegates as well.
I’ve researched this over the past few weeks, and PAs unbound delegates aren’t nearly as bad for Trump as everyone will think. My districts delegates were just on my local news the other night and all said they are supporting the will of the people.
On paper it may look like good news for Ted, but in PA we vote for our district’s delegates on our ballot, the same one we vote for our state wide candidate to be. Since Trump is leading in PA, and most unbound delegates have already pledged to support the vote of the people, Trump will get the aorist of those unbound delegates on the first ballot.
Ted you cheated by putting in more effort and understanding the rules.
That’s not how it works here. Cruz loses and gets some never trump vote. But that is by default since there are only 2 candiates left, not from Cruz’s understanding of the rules. Trump will win PA and get the majority of delegates.
It’s not anti-democratic, it’s “quirky”! That sounds way better.
If Trump wins big in Pennsylvania on April 26 (as seems likely) and doesn't walk away with at least 40 or so of the 71 delegates, there will be demands for reform which cannot be swept under the rug.
If nothing else, this election cycle has shown the country how corrupt the primary process in both parties is. There needs to be real reform before the 2020 race gets underway.
all said they are supporting the will of the people.......Which is weasel words In PA for “Whoever Gleason tell Us.” Trust me, the Repubs in PA do what they are told. Reference Toomey, the current state government (need all that UNION money) I don’t know if you are aware, PA is the third most corrupt state in what used to be the Union of States.
