Rush tried to carry the water for Cruz on this incident by saying the noise only took place on the audio/video tapes, but not in the actual banquet room.

Implication: It was a conspiracy. Someone(s) with knowledge and access to the technicals inserted the noise and raised the volume. FoxNews was in on it. The audience was in on it. The catering staff was in on it. The custodial staff was in on it. Kasich was in on it. Trump was in on it.

Rush ignored insider reports that people were milling around, talking, eating, etc., during the Cruz speech.

So, if all of those groups of people were in on the conspiracy, how could Rush claim the noise was only on the broadcast feeds, but not in the room.

Rush tripped on his own tongue. Either the room BECAME noisy when Cruz was speaking or it was professionally quiet and attentive and it was the broadcasters WHO INSERTED noise into the broadcast stream.

They served dinner at the time Cruz came on. If his mike was cut off then all the TV audience hear is the rest of the noise in the room. But that is not what the people in the room would have heard. The basic problem is that Cruz came on last.
