It is Jim Robs forum and he can support who he wants. I stayed off that thread in deference to our host. I stand by my statement. I see little difference between Trump and Hillary.

We need a system that reflects the will of the voters

No, the party wants a system that offers them the best candidate.

Yet he has the support of some 80% of FR in the daily caucus as well as the site’s top dog.

Many of us have been awake for some time Cat. It didn’t take some flim flam businessman to convince me that the GOP establishment had a heavy hand in nominating it’s candidates.

If you want to be a part of the GOP nomination process, than get off of your ass, join your local GOP, run for the local board, and attend the meetings. But merely because you finally ‘woke up’ and voted, and are upset by the rules, don’t whine like the Donald does, because things aren’t going your way.

Unfortunately I think we will all have the chance to find out whether I am wrong or not. I pray I am not, but I don’t think so.

“No, the party wants a system that offers them the best candidate.”

Agreed.

http://www.nationalaffairs.com/publications/detail/a-republican-nomination-process

The above link is an article written after Romney’s loss in 2012 on how the Republicans in the early 1970’s switched to more primaries like the Democrats. Our nomination process used to be finding the best nominee through the caucus system. We probably still find the best nominee through the process of elimination. But, they are so bruised, bloodied and broke; that by the time the REAL election comes they are in such a bad position.

I hope this year that Cruz or Trump will be able to beat Hillery, but I have my doubts.....

If only the Trumpkins knew how they sounded!

The same could be said for Cruzbots, only moreso.

The optics of these delegate thefts are directly responsible for Ted Cruz' tanking in both the national and state polls.

If that's not the case, then, pay tell, what is the reason for Ted's slide.

The only thing of import that has happened since Wisconsin is the Colorado fiasco. And, strangely, Ted Cruz's polls numbers began diving right around that time.

You Cruz fanboys can bleat all you want about how things were done properly and "by the rules", but appearance is everything, and the whole process appears CROOKED. Why? Because is was crooked. That's the perception among the voting public at large that exists outside of your little Cruz cult bubble. And that bubble is getting smaller and smaller with each passing day.

I agree with Jim Robinson: Ted Cruz is a traitor to the grassroots, and the only tactic left for him is to weasel (steal) delegates behind the scenes with the help of the party bosses, because Cruz doesn't do so well when voters are actually allowed to turnout and express themselves.

Cruz got crushed in the South, and he's about to experience multiple third place finishes in the Northeast.

Exactly where is his national strength? Nowhere, that's where.

Ted Cruz is not a viable general election candidate.

Ted Cruz has lost. He will have been mathematically eliminated after the next Tuesday or two. His only hope was to get the nomination at a contested GOP convention, which would irreparably splinter the party, and guarantee a GOP defeat in November.

Simply put, that's not going to happen. Not even the crooked GOPe is that stupid.

Vote Trump

The fact that you think any of that stuff really means anything coming from politicians makes you the naive one.

So, Trump isn’t a ‘conservative’?

Well, my ‘conservative’ ‘tea party’ governor campaigned for re-election on not raising the gas tax. It didn’t take her a week after winning to be asking the legislature to send her a bill raising the gas tax.

My ‘conservative’ congressional representative is really great at talking like a ‘conservative’, yet somehow, he finds a way to vote for every single globalist, big government, GOPe backed bill that he can find. But don’t worry, because he has a lot of flowery excuses for why.

My ‘conservative’ ‘tea party’ senator met with Democrats and tech CEO billionares on some island off the Georgia coast to conspire with them to stop the frontrunner for the GOP nomination from winning. But that’s okay, right? Because he’s ‘conservative’ and has ‘values like I do’.

So, Trump isn’t a ‘conservative’, eh? So what? Who cares? If the ones who ARE ‘conservative’ are any indication of what happens when we elect ‘conservative’ politicians, I’ll take the guy who isn’t ‘conservative’.

And by the way, when it comes to buying politicians: in modern history, the only choice we’ve ever had in politics is to vote for the one who is selling influence to the donors. In other words, the hooker.

For the first time ever, we have a choice between the hooker and the john. When those are the only choices available, I’ll take the John every time. He’s a guy trying to get his building built in a fascist police state run by hookers.

I’m sure that’s true, and disappointing.

This is the difference between you Trumpkins and I. You believe what the man says, despite the many many different positions he has had over the years. Trump has ZERO record as a politician, and even I agree that has an appeal to it. But that also means, he is an unproven politician. He hasn’t fought the establishment like Ted Cruz. He hasn’t been a conservative like Ted Cruz his entire life. He hasn’t fought for conservative values in front of the Supreme Court.

If Trump does end up becoming president, I hope all of you are correct. I hope that he does what he says he will do (well, most of it anyway). I hope that he isn’t a liberal like he has been most of his life.

With Ted Cruz, I don’t need to hope and pray. The man is what he says he is, and his actions prove it. Not just his words.

Actually, I don’t. I think he is an honest patriot who probably naively believed in honest elections. No more, I’m sure.

I’m sure he, like the vast majority of Americans, thought elections meant something.

We ar in a desperate fight against very dark powers of the Uniparty. Cruz has, either out of stupidity or blind ambition, thrown in with the Uniparty. He should be ashamed. I have learned a great deal about St. Ted, none of it good.

I’m sorry, but Cruz’s actions, to me and many of the others, prove that he ISN’T what he says he is.

Of course, you can believe something different, and that’s your right. But just a warning that not everyone thinks as you do.

Interesting you say he wants to do away with the dept of Ed after he said education is one of the governments top 3 functions...

I disagree with him on that. Now, does that mean he thinks the Department of Educaion must stay?  Not really.  He has been saying all along that the DoE and Common Core have to go.

If you disagree with that, so be it.  I agree with him.  They have to go.

Trump has taken so many positions on every issue it is impossible to keep track.

Great sound-byte.   There's no basis in reality, but I know you'll trot it out whenever you think you can get away with it.  You won't this time.

Has he changed his stance on the need for a military buildup, doing away with the DoE, defunding abortion at Planned Parenthood, reducing government spending, paying down the debt, helping veterans, canning Common Core, doing away with Obamacare, instituting private sector solutions,  bringing jobs back to the U. S., helping corporations bring back $2 trillion in reserves they don't want to bring home due to taxation?  No.  These and many other things have been rock solid in his platform.

As a matter of fact Reagan's platform exists inside Trump's platform.  He even does Reagan better with regard to deportation, building a wall, eliminating sanctuary cities, and the like.

Except planned parenthood. He has consistently praised them for doing great things.

In certain places abortion is their only service (just about).  In other isolated places, they seem to provide a more broad assortment of women's services.  Where there are no other services, I don't have a problem with Planned Parenthood providing services other than abortion.

Belief?

Belief has nothing to do with it.

Name something Cruz promised that he didn’t do, because making baseless accusations is the only thing you are doing right now.

And I might note, it is completely irrelevant how many of you BELIEVE or think as you do.

No. The primary difference is you base an entire theory on a single flawed assumption.

Conservatism isn’t owned by any one person.

The politicians you are complaining about in your state are clearly not conservatives. I have the same problem with these kinds of RINO liars in my state.

Does that mean that there is no value to conservatism? Of course not.

You make the mistake of believing that because politicians are generally dishonest, that conservative policy is useless. It is not.

Man is dishonest. So, it is quite irrelevant whether their background is as a businessman, or an attorney, or a ditch digger. People are dishonest, such is the nature of man.

So, when it comes to someone wishing to hold elected office, particularly the POTUS, we must throw out the liars, and reward the honest.

Really?

So, you don’t believe what Donald Trump says?

You are correct sir, my theory was that Trumpkins believe he will do what he says he will do.

Since I am so lost (LMAO), and assumed that, please tell me where I went wrong.
