Trump: Colorado took voters out of election because of me
Washington Examiner ^ | 4/17/16 | Daniel Chaitin

Donald Trump on Sunday accused the Colorado Republican Party of changing the rules of its nomination process because of his campaign.

Speaking in Staten Island, N.Y., the businessman and GOP front-runner noted that he announced his campaign on June 16, 2015. Trump said that iwas two months later, in August, when the Colorado GOP's executive committee decided to give the power to delegates, not the voters, to decide whom they would support.

Last weekend Texas Sen. Ted Cruz completed a sweep of all the state's 34 delegates.

"Just so you understand. They keep saying 'we didn't change the rules' ... they totally did," Trump said Sunday. "I came out in June, they saw I was going to win Colorado easily with the voters, which is most important, so they changed the rules and they took the voters out of it and they had the party bosses make the selection."

Exactly. That's what happen when you get people who pride themselves on being "outsiders" trying to navigate the complex rules that the insiders are already familiar with.

You do realize, don't you, that insinuating that people support a particular candidate because they are stupid is not any way to get brownie points, don't you?

No stupid - just ignorant. There's a difference. You were the one who referred to them as morons...

No, I was repeating back to you exactly what you appeared to be insinuating, and I think it is pretty clear from the context that it was how I interpreted what you said, and not my opinion of the intelligence of Trump voters.

My opinion remains that since it is statistically almost impossible for all of the delegates to turn up for Cruz when they are essentially a random sampling of a population that is anywhere from ~35% and up for Trump, that there is a *strong* appearance that something untoward has gone on. This is not a reflection of the intelligence of Trump supporters, but of slimy lawyer tactics to win at any cost.

Honestly, I don’t understand how anyone on the right could trust Trump. I don’t. And his most recent comment is even more telling re: how untrustworthy he is. He just essentially showed how little he minds supporting and donating to known ‘crooks’. What does that make Trump then? (rhetorical question)

“She’s been crooked from the beginning. And to think, she has shot of being our president?” he mocked....”

Considering that you run around talking about TrusTED when there a videos of him lying over and over again, I'd say that your judgment might be impaired.

>The man is what he says he is, and his actions prove it. Not just his words.

I might have agreed with you before Iowa. Ted’s only dug the hole deeper since then.

Yeah, there is a lot of lies about Cruz lying out there. A lot of spin and propaganda and smear tactics going on. But what Trump said (which is on record) about Hillary, that she's been a crook from the beginning, speaks volumes about how unethical he, himself, is. And Hillary isn't the only radical leftist that Trump donated to...and that is also on record.

You can watch and learn or you can ignore Ted’s lies:

Fair enough. Are you aware that Neil Bush is running Cruz’s money raising team? Do you know what kind of Crook Niel Bush is?

Read up on him and then tell me Cruz isn’t in bed with crooks:
http://www.rationalrevolution.net/war/bush_family_and_the_s.htm

Finally:
The reason I’m not worried about Trump buying politicians is because A. it’s legal in this country(yes I know that’s insane)and B. because large business who don’t pay Washington off get attacked by the federal government until they do start paying them off. Paying them is a form of protection money which is why anyone as rich as Trump does it and it’s why he’s paid both sides.

Trump hates that stuff just as much as I do but there’s nothing he could do about it as a businessman.

I’m far more worried about people like Ted who is taking 10 of millions of dollars from criminals like Niel Bush and most of the money coming is from open borders organizations. These are not the type of people you can take money from and then not do their bidding. Based on the huge amounts Ted has received I fully expect him to keep the boarder wide open while feeding us lines of BS about congress not allowing him to act. That’s just the nature of big money in US politics.

Looks like we’re at an impasse here. And either way (whether Trump or Cruz wins the nomination), we’re probably still both screwed, good & plenty. Sad that this is apparently ‘the best’ that we Americans can do re: our chosen leaders. Perhaps it’s our time to fail and to fall, after it’s all said and done. If so, we had a good run.

Please do tell Mr. Wulf.

I sure hope you aren’t referring to the Ben Carson bologna, which A) Had absolutely NOTHING to do what Ted Cruz did or said and B) Was an actual news report that was merely repeated. And finally C) Even if you believe all that has been claimed is true, has absolutely ZERO to do with upholding your word and your campaign promises, which is what I was talking about in this thread.

So, please tell me that you haven’t fallen for yet more of the Trump foolishness that has permeated this nomination process.

I’ve argued with you guys on this point over and over again. If you want to believe that Ted Cruz didn’t pull the stanard democratic trick of claiming someone dropped out on election day to grab thier votes, that’s fine. However, I and the vast majority of republicans clearly saw what happened and we learned a lot about the real Ted Cruz that night. We’re going to have to agree to disagree on it.

>Shame on you for besmirching a good man’s character without an iota of evidence.

I agree and shame on Ted Cruz for doing that to Corey Lewandowski. Insisting that he be fired with no evidence of a crime. /s

I rather suspect that your high-minded ideals only count when they help Cruz and you probably insisted that Corey be fired like a dog because you dislike Trump.

Am I wrong?

Sadly, you don’t agree. You think something as stupid as repeating a faulty news report, by someone who works for you, is malfeasance.

If Cruz had fired the people who passed on the story like Carson asked him to, there wouldn't have been an issue. Ted refused to do so.

And you still haven't answered about your principals and the attacks on Corey.

So, let me get this straight Trumpkin. Ted Cruz should have fired someone in his campaign staff based on hearsay, and Ted Cruz should never have called on someone to be fired that had been arrested earlier in the day for assault. Wow!

And to answer your question, I could give a crap about either issue. Neither was the responsibility of the respective candidate, nor should it sway any voter. But here you are! Worried about something that was ultimately CNN’s fault, and even if it came straight from Ted Cruz’s mouth may be the weakest excuse I’ve ever heard for gauging a candidate.
