Which you have no way of knowing who they support or if they’re lying about their support. Ya, no thanks. It takes very little effort to have a presidential preference poll and then binding delegates to the results and the only reason not to do is to rig the process.

but listen, you have no idea if a politician is lying about what they stand for when you cast the vote for them.
Unfortunately trump is not putting the effort in to securing delegates in many of these states and it seems it’s because he thinks this is a democracy. That’s his fault for not knowing how the US gov’t is structured.
