Rush Limbaugh: The Two-Faced Pundit
Hotgas.net ^ | April 18, 2016 | Fossten

According to Rush Limbaugh, when Hillary opts to use the RULES to get what she wants, it’s bad. When Ted Cruz does it, it’s good. Rush has preached for years about the need for conservatives to go out and change the minds of the American people; that that is the true way to achieve everlasting change. He trumpeted this strategy as the reason for the 1994 Republican victory in the House. The reality is that Donald Trump is playing this game straight up. He is going to the voters and convincing them that his way is better than Cruz’s. He’s taking it directly to the people, not winning through shrewd political maneuvers.

I can teel you this, Rush does not need to be bought by anyone, he doesn’t need other folks money. I doubt he’s pissed through his hundreds of millions of dollars he’s earned over the years.

He was wrong about Rubio.

He has been wrongmon other things over the years.

I am grateful he is wrong about things sometimes. I am glad I can tell, when he is wrong. I learned how to be conservative from him a very long time ago.

I’d love an example of Rush calling out Cruz for something. He calls Trump out daily. It’s annoying and sad. I feel like I’m going through a divorce!

Rush is running a business and always has been.

I have no doubt he is unwavering in the conservatism he’s preached over the years and it’s been very very profitable for him while providing a informative and inspirational rallying point for those of us who are real believers. Not believers in Rush, but believers in conservatism.

THis election like no other has presented a dilemma for him in that 60% of his conservative customer base is for Trump, the rest for Cruz. He’s tried to play both sides, with, “I’m just an observer, reporting, you decide, which is exactly what he’s never been.

He fully understands Cruz has no chance in the general and hasn’t since Fl and OH primaries, and knows Trump is a risk, but the only R with a chance, but what will he turn out to be. I suspect Rush see’s this as a lose, lose situation. The supposed most conservative candidate getting crushed in the general, or the risk, winning and governing as liberal.

So he’s standing on the sideline, more concerned about losing listeners and his bottom line than he is the country.

Downright disappointing, and very telling of what really drives him, when the real goal is beating Hillary.

Many should listen to his show.

I’m a Cruz guy and Rush has ticked me off plenty of times this ‘season’. He came really close to praising what he thinks is Trumps strategy.

Ignore the ground game, focus on media and work the delegates in Cleveland where you don’t have to hunt them down. If that is trumps strategy it’s risky and economically sound. Why travel all over the country when you can schmooze them in groups?

I’m not as generous as Limbaugh, I think he believed he’d win without making an effort.

Of course El Rushbo is getting the $$. Just his sponsors alone, and they keep him on a short leash. God only knows what kickbacks and favors he receives.

Remember, this is a guy who did a sleepover in a Bush White House and did little but give lip service about feminazis and golf but rarely even disguised the lawless decades long influx of millions of illegals in 80s and 90s.

This election has clearly been exposed this guy as a party puppet.

Some people are so blinded by Trump love, all they see is Trump. Everyone else that doesn’t see things EXACTLY like them is some how dumb, evil, a cheater, a liar, and whatever else bad they want to project upon those people with differing opinions.
It is completely leftist trait. Examine yourselves.

As to your tagline... I think you are s_itting in your hat!!!

Rush is and has been the greatest, most far-reaching and consistent conservative spokesman and articulator of conservative thought in either the 20th, or 21 century!!!

You obviously are too young and oblivious to the obvious to remember the 40 years we all wandered in the liberal wilderness till Rush revived the AM radio world with the true inspirational doctrines of conservatism extraordinaire!!!

Please don't attack our most outstanding champion of conservatism. It's not the least bit becoming... seriously!!!

I think I’ve got it.

Cruz wins when no one votes.

Trump wins when the people acually cast votes.

So, I says to myself, that’s the way Cruz can win the election.

Get a law passed that prevents anyone from casting a vote.

With all modesty, I think that’s brilliant.

Even trump supporters have to know the Donald says something pretty bizzare stuff on a fairly regular basis.

It gets him free airtime and he walks it back . It’s part of his game and it works.

Rush is right. You win by changing the hearts and minds of people - not looking for a loophole to exploit and earn something underhandedly and then screaming success.

You are buying into the spin if you believe that one. They selected delegates without even a vote for goodness sake. How can you possibly explain that away. Please don't. I already barfed today listening to Rush try.

Why is he being so dense? People call with good points and he goes into a huff and explains the rules again.

He is on his way out and making sure his nest in the club remains feathered.

What sticks in my beady little mind is IF, and HOW MUCH Rush’s bride might be influencing his political positions and musings these days?

Time for Mark Steyn to take over. Of all the guest hosts Rush has had over the years he’s my favorite.

Please tell me what conservative means? I am in MO and rarely missed a Rush radio show, until he read that Elliot Abrams lie from the NR back in 2012 against Newt. Right before the Florida primary... Newt had won South Carolina and was doing well until Rush came out for Romney. I stopped listening to Rush... occasionally I will ‘read’ what Rush has to say, but I will not listen to him.

Rush’s love affair with Romney ended Rush’s conservative credentials with me.

What conservative in their right mind would take ‘amnesty’ talking points from Schumer and Graham? Rush did in 2011 at a secret dinner. Rush called Rubio the ‘amnesty’ queen, a full throated conservative, whatever that is suppose to mean.

Many wonder if Rush is getting some financial benefit that could encourage his behavior.

I don't think so. He's got so much money a few million more would not make any difference to him.

I think it's much simpler.

Intellectually, Rush knows we feel betrayed by the GOPe. But it's much worse than that, and in his gut he doesn't get it.

Part of the problem is that Rush no longer knows any of us. His social set are rich golfing buddies and various rich and powerful cocktail party acquaintances. They're his friends, the people he spends his time with.

It wasn't always this way. But within his current social circle there is no one who loathes the GOPe, and none who like Trump.

60,000 party members voted in CO. It was open to all party members.

Cruz won WY handily last month and then again this month in the district voting for delegates.

I know this trope works very well with the under informed and helps boost trump follewer moral, but every time I see it I think “moron”.

I’m betting you aren’t stupid.
