They know the Ninth Circuit will rubberstamp it, and they’re assuming that by the time it reaches the USSC, a new majority of Liberals will gladly declare the 2nd Amendment Null & Void.
Well that would certainly be a bonus for dealers in adjacent states. Like the Illinois restrictions generate big sales just across the Indiana line.
Just another reason not to live in California.
Wouldn't it be easier to just cede California to Mexico?
That’s a HUGE risk if Hillary wins, the Dems take the Senate, and SCOTUS is packed with liberals for decades to come. All of which are well within possibility.
I can see the sign now:
WELCOME TO CALIFORNIA DRUG DEALERS, PEDOPHILES, THIEVES, THUGS, AND RAPISTS.
THIS LAND IS YOUR LAND!
If I was offered a job that paid ten times as much, for one-tenth the work, and it was situated in Kalifornistan, I would turn the offer down.
Another sign:
CALIFORNIA WELCOMES ALL MASS KILLERS. THIS WHOLE STATE IS A GUN FREE ZONE.
“SHOOT ‘EM UP!”
That’s why null and void left California...
Guarentee you the next headline will read “California bans all guns, ammunition, and accessories.”
“THIS LAND WAS YOUR LAND!”
The 9th Circus will rule them to be “reasonable restrictions” even if they outright ban guns in the state.
what Illinois restrictions on gun dealers ?
They’ve got about an 8 year window before 3D printer technology makes all of this crap null and void...
In the not too distant future, software and a 3D printer will be making our firearms and ammunition.
wouldn’t it be nice if we could resurrect the US Constitution?
there’s an entire generation now which has no real idea what the word “liberty” is all about...
Another state that deserves what they voted for. Some day it will just slide off into the Pacific.
bkmk
A. E. Van Vogt is a severely under appreciated author.
Anyone remember when California tried to ban handguns back in 1982 with Prop 15?
https://ballotpedia.org/California_Proposition_15,_Handgun_Registration_Initiative_%281982%29
It was guaranteed to pass!
Handgun Control Inc. (HCI now the Brady Center) was already popping Champagne corks for the coming victory!
CBS even had an hour special the night before in an attempt to get out the anti-gun vote!
It went down in a humiliating defeat as the citizens of California rejected it.
Since that day, the politicians of Cali have been trying to find ways around the will of the voters one nibble at a time.
