“What I AM asking you, and others like you, to do is to look at the big picture.”

Oh I am. And it doesn’t include Trump or Hillary or Bernie. Therefore if it comes down to that. I won’t participate.

There will be no healing - either the Trump supporters stay home in November, or the approximately 40% of the GOP that will not vote for Trump in the general will stay home in November. Either way, Hillary wins.

You may be right, but I’d much rather have EVERYONE on board with defeating Hillary. It considerably improves the odds, and it leaves our brand - the conservative and Republican one, much stronger for the future.

Such thinking as yours, however well-intentioned, does not let like-thinking people work together...something that the enemy craves. Don’t let them have what they want, it won’t work out well for us, our kids or our grandkids.

I’m not the guy who is still backing the one who lost every swing state by massive amounts in this primary. Now tell me, how is Cruz going to win in a general when he cannot turn out base voters in the swing states for him?

As far as the negative ads. I have no doubt PACS will be operating in favor of Trump in the general that can counter much of the democrats negative ads.

You also have the guaranteed Democrat October Surprise on Cruz. No matter the Merits and arguments He will be barred from the election by a liberal federal judge over his qualifications and the USSC will not be able to undo it with its 4-4 split before the election. So one of two outcomes. Hillary waltzes in unopposed or Obama stays in.

If you think the Dems do not have Liberal Federal judges lined up to do this you have no understanding how ruthless they are.

Yeah, we need to start preparing for this likely result and do averything possible to hold on the Congress. I just don’t see any way that ANY GOP candidate wins this year

Getting the base on board is lost to both Trump and Cruz. In fact, despite her position now with her base, the reality is even most of those Bernie backers who now say they won’t vote for her or vote Trump in Nov will, more than likely, end up voting for her. The Democrat base is growing and it’s an easy base to appeal to. Just promise more freebies and she’ll get them.

Your free polls do not match reality. Who is paying for them and why?

I actually go back and check which polls did the best compared with actual results. Some do pretty well. Others not so much.

Cruz needs to bust out proof that Trump is running for Hillary and SOON. Her aide accidentally slipping about Sanders being possible VP today is devastating.

The guy who couldn’t win a single county in FL, OH, VA, SC, or NY is going to defeat Hillary?
And couldn’t even get 50% of the vote in his home state of Texas (got 43.8%) — before his campaign manager said Trump should drop out if he didn’t get 50% in NY (he got 60.4%).

Not only did Cruz not win a county in those 5 states he also finished THIRD in them. 3rd Place Teddy would be the worst general election candidate in generations.

Cruz seems unstable and suffers from delusions of grandeur. Very scary man.

You are most certainly welcome to play the game, but I am not the least bit interested in being pals with Cruz or his shrinking crowd.

Name one election where the polls did not say the GOP was anti-Women, racist, war-monger, etc. this election is not happening in a vacuum, nor are the attacks new,

Name one election where the potential GOP candidate has provided so much evidence with his own mouth and tweets to SUPPORT the idea that he is anti-women, xenophobic, racist, war monger, etc? All the Dems will have to do is run ads with Trump's own words over and over again. How do you 'educate' someone to ignore what they see and hear the candidate says in his own words?

“The most likely result right now, even after last night’s voting, is that Trump ends up somewhere between 1100 and 1200 pledged delegates. The decision, then, is still likely to be made at the convention, even after all is said and done.

So don’t buy the hype. This thing isn’t over, not by a long shot. “

Do you understand that if Trump goes into the convention with 1100-1200 delegates, and walks away with nothing, that this will cause a split that hasn’t been seen in the Republican Party since at least the Goldwater-Rockefeller fight in ‘64? That one, I’ll remind you, didn’t turn out very well for our side - we got the ‘65 immigration act that is STILL victimizing us, and the entire War on Poverty set of programs that are bankrupting us. I would expect no different of a result if we have 2 or more ballots - no matter who wins, WE ALL LOSE.

I would, despite supporting Trump, say the same about Trump if the shoe was on the other foot. Cruz not only isn’t going to gain ground, he’s going to lose it with the rest of the northeastern states in the next few weeks, as well as California. He’ll have a victory here or there - but only in smaller states. All that he can do is stop Trump from succeeding, and force a bitter convention fight. That’s not being part of a team, that’s not looking at the greater good, that’s looking out for #1.

Is Ted Cruz’ pride worth losing to Hillary? Not a chance! I’d say the EXACT same thing about Trump in an alternate universe where Cruz was winning...but we’re not there, we’re HERE.

Cruz needs to drop out with dignity, and get something for himself in the process. It is in everyone’s interest on our side, even Cruz’ long term interest.

Your comment is biased and unfair even, if it is true!:)

The guy who couldn’t win a single county in FL, OH, VA, SC, or NY is going to defeat Hillary?

I’ve said Trump is going to be nominee. And was never under the illusion that Cruz, IF he did win the nomination, was going to have it easy in the general. And now I don’t think he can unite the Conservative base

I just live in Realsville and I know that primary election success doesn’t translate into general election wins . The reality is Trump has big problems not with just the base but the general public as well. You can pretend they don’t exist or that the myth of the Reagan Democrats will save the day. Romney did very well in 2012 with independents over BHO. Winning without the base on board never works

Having said all the above, it becomes more and more apparent that despite the likes of Ryan and Turtle, its crucial both the Senate and House remain in GOP hands should she win
Everything you posted is eerily similar to what was said in 2012 when it came to Romney.

Like I said, every GOP candidates gets the same attacks justified or not. But most are not smart enough to fight back like Trump is. He already shut down Hillary once pretty easy in this race so far. He has put away 16 other candidates and has been attacked consistently. So based on past performance so far, my money is on Trump doing more of what hes been doing - winning!.

Yesterday I mocked Trump for repeating over and over he wants to unite party and then proceeds to insult everyone and their wives. A Trumpster replied that Trump meant unite the grass roots, a stretch for sure but I will take him at his word. Now today I see over and over Trump supporters continue with mocking graphics and end zone dancing and wonder if the supporters got the message of uniting the party. For sure I am more turned off by Trump supporters than Trump himself- I speak for many on this.

At least be honest, there is nothing Cruz can say or do that you Trumpettes won’t criticize him for.
