Either people in new York are severely uninformed, or they just flat out hate the remaining choices.

It was because they were just as angry as conservatives were at the flood of outside money supporting the recall and stood with Walker because, "I don't like him but, he won the first time fair and square. People from outside of Wisconsin need to mind their own business."
The average American, from either side of the aisle, doesn't react well to any they perceive as "unfair" (as in crooked, or rigged.)
