Last night I had my hopes up that Ted Cruz would call a press conference today, announce that he no longer has a path to the nomination, state that a contested convention would be detrimental to the party's chance and then formally withdraw himself from the race, offering Trump his full support.

Well maybe I ingested a bad ice cube last night because I awoke to the sobering reality that Cruz has decided to soldier on in a losing cause. That he decided to put his personal ambition ahead of duty to country. Or perhaps he really is a stooge of the GOPe and is willing to do their bidding.

Anyhow, I'm disappointed in Ted Cruz today. But we the people have the outcome in our hands. We only need to get out and vote in the remaining primary contests and win for Trump the delegates he needs to get over the top. Just 58% of them at least. He won about 95% of the ones up for grabs last night so that's a pretty good start.

I was originally hoping for a Trump/Cruz ticket and perhaps a Cruz USSC nomination. I guess for Cruz it was Cruz or Luz the presidency.
