I’ve always believed Hillary could win. Too many here believe it’ll be a cakewalk and Trump this, Trump that, Cruz would do this, Cruz would do that....

The reality is she has a very good chance to be elected. I don’t care what people at the local bar who all normally vote democrat. Demographics favor her. As a result, the EC favors her. A majority now are on some kind of government assistance. Nobody votes to give up the check. Thanks to the 1965 Kennedy Immigration switch, more and more people from the third world make up our population. Combine that with illegal immigration over the years. These people tend to favor hand outs thereby favoring the Democratic Party. The GOP candidate can never counter that. I know Bernie voters, at least some, have claimed they’ll vote Trump if Hillary is the nominee, but once the initial emotions wear off, many of them will either vote her or stay home in Nov. The a Democrat Base, unlike us, can be bought with the promise of free stuff. And make no mistake, Hillary will promise that.

The same things people are saying regarding Trump verses Hillary were the same things people were saying regard Romney verses Obama. I know the arguments, “ Trump won’t or will do such and such” but you can’t simply hope that works.

In order for a GOP candidate to win, his/ her base must be 100% on board and then enough independents must be drawn. Romney replaced part of the GOP base with independents and in that respect, he outpaced BHO among independents. BHO went all base and won.

I do/did back Cruz for the nomination but I never deluded myself that a great victory was coming his way in Nov. even with Hillary’s many weakness. In short, it’s going to come down to those GWB 2004 states.

I’m not saying Trump cannot win in Nov. Of course he can.But he’s going to have to work harder than many people realize. And no, Trump would not be as bad or worse than Hillary. Trump would be better than her. That may not be saying much considering who she is.

Trump has the “not another politician” factor working for him. Also, the Republican elite hate him which will allow Democrat males to not feel traitorous crossing over to vote for him.

Trump does need to improve his standing among women. Women are more sensitive with Trump’s brusque style and many of them are scared of him. He might need to go back on Oprah and other daytime talk shows during the general election and show his caring and sensitive side.

Plus also the issue of possible “voter fraud” in this year’s general election must also be factored in.
