Let me weigh in with this. Drag queens have been around for as long as I can remember and they’ve been going in whatever bathroom they feel like going in forever. No one even thought about it until liberals started their campaign to make everything gender neutral and make states change their laws to specifically say “transgenders”, ie, who were called drag queens not too long ago be a protected class of people. That’s why Trump said what he said. In the Far East where I spent around 10 years in the military it’s not uncommon for there to be one bathroom and you walk in it and you might see a female backing up to to a urinal and if not she’ll be in a stall with the door closed. She’ll leave the stall while you’re still at the urinal and not you give you a second thought and go about her business. The same thing happens all over Europe, especially in France. There has also been many perverts get the hell beat out of them trying to sneak in a woman’s bathroom, and that ain’t about to change. But the drag queens, these pitiful bastards that actually think their another sex, will go in a stall, do their business and leave. Liberals are the ones that have made this an issue.
And again, where in these laws does it say that someone who says “I feel like a woman” has to be dressed as a woman?
My thoughts exactly. It is liberals who are making this into some type of issue. They are the ones who want the laws changed. Under current law if people are making nuisances of themselves in restrooms they can be arrested. We do not need to start legislating about non-issues. We live in one of the most liberal freak filled areas in the country and it has never been an issue that has affected me and no one has ever complained to me about it affecting them either.
Good points but what you’re largely pointing out here is that there are different cultural norms for bathroom use across the globe. And that’s fine. Nothing “objectively” wrong with any cultural norm in that respect.
In the same vein though, each country’s culture should be respected and not influenced by a tiny, vocal minority. In this country normal people have been raised to go into the bathroom of their natural gender. And in our culture it’s just taboo (right or wrong doesn’t matter) that a man be in a woman’s bathroom.
And also, what you point out with the trannys in the past is different. Back before this became such a mess, the tranny men would still use the MEN’s bathroom. Might get their @$$ kicked sometimes but they would’ve still used the men’s room. Now they are insisting using the WOMEN’s bathroom, and that’s what’s different than the situations you’ve described.
Bottom line the way I see it either all bathrooms should become “gender neutral” in some way or men who are born men should not be allowed in women’s areas. I don’t know how one could make such gender neutral bathrooms (maybe just a separate area for the “business” but a common one where you wash up, like all women’s rooms now).
Also you have a few trannys now demanding that they be allowed in women’s LOCKER rooms, and that’s something no normal person should truck. At least I’d hope we could all agree there. Trump’s answer to that hypothetical might prove interesting.
