This issue is not the hill to die on. Trump answered correctly and adroitly. This is now a non issue for Trump in the media’s eyes and they can’t demonize him over it.
After Trump was attacked by the left and the right over his abortion answer - I don’t blame him for deflecting these social issues hot topics that don’t generate jobs or keep illegal aliens out or prevent Islamic terrorism.

You think blue collar dems are down with his answer? Everyone I have spoken to is horrified at the dem leadership over this. I’ve talked to long-time blue collar dems that are completely horrified at the party’s position on this. I think maybe the leadership doesn’t realize not just everyone is down with this ridiculous crap being a civil rights struggle. They buy the gay thing to a point, but this is a bridge too far for a lot of them, at least the ones I have talked to.
Seems to me smart republican would hammer on this, make it the biggest issue you can. My God, why did he say that about Muslem immigration and outraged all the right people? Did the blue collar dems dig that or not?

Why do conservatives want more laws?
There are already laws against child molestation, indecent exposure, sexual harassment, etc. In bathrooms or anywhere.
Also same sex bathrooms are just as likely to contain predators, how do we police that now? We want the govt to watch our children instead of us? That’s conservative?
Someone in favor of more laws, please show me that there is an epidemic of transgenders or poseurs preying on children in public bathrooms, that justifies additional laws that are hurting states economically. Show me how more laws prevent it.
All Trump said was it wasnt a big problem and leave it the way it was. That’s a libertarian/conservative position. More laws and invented crises is a liberal position.
