Rush has used to have 20 million listeners.

Fixed it.

One problem with your post. Trump is not fighting back against the destructive nature of the left... he is joining it.

So disappointed, bray.

I cannot believe you, of all people, support Trump.

Hannity has always been a horrible interviewer. Amazing he’s been as successful as he has been.

Master of the long, convoluted question after which he interrupts the person he’s interviewing before that person can reply.

He really struck out with Ted Cruz. Hannity comes on with an agenda of MAKING Ted Cruz discuss and defend the ground roots operation he’s running to pick up delegates after the primaries are over.

Cruz, wisely, refused to be bullied into going into what would have been an endless convoluted discussion with Hannity hissing into the mike.

Hannity almost got hysterical, determined that he would FORCE Cruz to discuss this. He made a huge fool of himself ... Cruz never raised his voice but continued to make the points he wanted to make.

Pretty funny.

Checking in to see who ole Rush pissed off today! He seems to have nailed [nearly] everyone lately, including me. Didn’t listen today.

Rush beginning with his snarky assessment of Trump...

Well, gosh! There's a surprise! /S

I don’t know where you got your listener information. Rush had 20 million listeners 20 years ago. It’s more like 13.5 now.

I support Trump. But I agree. One of things I’ve long disliked about Hannity was his interviews. He asks a question and interrupts while an answer is being given. If someone is stonewalling, then yeah, call out the interviewee. But more often than not, a legitimate answer is being given and Hannity interrupts.

Sensei Dr. Ruckman, has went on to be with the Lord while I didn’t agree with him on everything he certainly was one of my favorites, and he will be deeply missed.

RIP

“Let’s not forget about his meeting with HUSSEIN back in 2009”

I did not know about that one.

“I got up today and I realized, ladies and gentlemen, that it was time for me to come clean, that I did meet with President Obama — after I left the White House and before he went to George Will’s house”

Okay, where exactly did the meeting occur?

LOL! Oooops! I guess I missed that little fact! (red face)

I deeply appreciate the correction and distinctions! (I had a good college American history prof, but we didn’t spend much time on that part.)

Your insight really helps me understand more clearly about this part of our history.

Thanks.

What very kind words, altura. It is a joy to be able to communicate about issues and not falling into the passionate out of control expressions too many of us on both sides have entered into.

I actually have pondered deeply the questions you ask me to consider. I have read two of his books so far, (”Crippled America”and “Surviving at the Top”) I have actually found what I do believe to be self knowledge, and fundamental elements of wisdom in the man. I DO believe that keeping his word is important to him. He is also highly practical and flexible. That flexibility may cause dismay of many of us in the future, but I am convinced that he is not seeking to betray us.

He is a flawed individual, and in subtle ways, especially in the “Surviving at the Top,” he shows that he knows it and has learned to keep a balance despite his extreme success. I recommend that book. It is a fascinating insight into how he thinks.

Darlin and I went to one of his events, and we doubled over laughing when we saw the campaign buttons being offered for sale. Our favorite and the one that came home with us reads, “We Shall Overcomb!”

What he does for us with respect to the Wall may not be perfect, but I’m willing to accept imperfection if we can at least staunch the flood by many more percentages than we would see under other candidates on either side of the aisle.

I can understand the good points of Ted Cruz’s approach, but I honestly do not believe he would be able to make it happen. I’ve been thinking of the analogy where Cruz could be thought of as a greyhound and Trump is a junk yard dog.
A greyhound might bark, and carry on in protecting a perimeter, but might not be a huge deterrent to some. Right now, I want the junk yard dog. That dog is not elegant, but he flat does the job that needs doing.

Another thing that makes me comfortable about him is the idea that because he has been at the top, he already has enormous power. I have become convinced that he is not in the race for obtaining power, but truly for seeking to do the best thing he can do to serve America in ways he is equipped to do. He has mastered power, and it does not master him.

He also seems to have worked out in his personal life some of the interpersonal relationship errors he made. (We do all have them, don’t we?) The evidence for this is those kids. He placed them first, and it shows. A narcissist would not have been capable of that level of nurturing.

Thank you for letting me respond to your very thoughtful comment.

LOL! I didn’t say that! I was trying to summarize as I heard it the discussion of that article Rush was relating at the time of that post. In this case, I was simply trying to report for the cubicle-bound!

The writer was proposing that Trump is the one that is in some ways fighting back against the destructive nature of the left.

Go with your instincts: Democrat slaveholders are usually not good guys. (Jefferson and Monroe were not part of the Jacksonian Dem Party)

You are welcome, altura. I appreciate yours too.

Now I hope and pray that the one who is still standing at the end of the process is anointed by the Lord and will carry His banner in truly serving Him and our people.

I’ll crawl over broken glass for whoever that is. #neverhillary

LOL! thanks for the guideline!

To tell you the truth, I recall wondering how all of those events of the dim dark past (to my 23 year old eyes) connected with modern times. Somehow I missed that pattern you mention, and had forgotten over the years to look for it.

I’m so glad you are a Freeper! Thanks again!
