In a portion of an interview with Manu Raju that aired on CNNs New Day on Thursday, Speaker of the House Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)56% discussed his tenure as House Speaker and what hes doing, including how he is handling the job differently from his predecessor John Boehner.
But also, he vowed there would be no government shutdown.
I think I would do it better, Ryan said. Not to knock John, but I spend more time with all of our members on a continual basis. And so, because I was a person that wasnt looking for this job, what Im trying to do is be responsible with the power that comes with this job and decentralize that power to make members more empowered.

Clarification: Total uniparty leadership shown.
Shutting down the government has been abused by Republicans to the point that it should NEVER be used again. It’s a LOSER.
Republicans shut down the government, then over and over again they CAVE! Meaning, we shut down the government, but now we changed our minds and I guess it wasn’t really such a good idea.
They need to go back to regular order and vote out each bill from committee and then vote on each bill on the floor. No more OMNIBUS spending bills. You don’t need to shut the government down, you just need to VOTE down all the bad spending bills, one at a time.
Ugh, 2 loser in one picture.
But, what does Ryan says about bathrooms?? THIS is vitally important, all else can be forgiven if he only would stand for THIS issue!
He will knuckle under to the Dems better than Boehner. That I have no doubt of.
