When "Joe the Plumber" looks at the 100% pro-life position with no exceptions, this is what he thinks.

What if my sweet daughter were a rape victim. Why should she be forced to carry that baby?

What if my wife were pregnant, but the pregnancy would kill her? Am I gonna let her and the baby both die?

the 100% pro-life position is noble and logical. In the real world, it prevents the cause from making any real headway. Meanwhile, many millions more die, because we won't budge.

I think you can say the rape/incest exception is a poison pill for Democrats. They want all abortions, Trump wants to eliminate 90+ percent of them.

Cruz-servatives who currently have 0 percent just want to grandstand.

Do you really think the pro-life movement is going to find common ground with abortionists by adding incest and rape as reasons for allowing the murder of the pre-born? If so, you're delusional. The only way abortion is going to be stopped is for the courts and the public to finally decide to protect the rights of the pre-born.

Having a president that would champion life every day in office would certainly help on the side that needs to win hearts and minds. Having a president that would appoint justices to the USSC that see Roe V Wade for the flawed decision it is would also bring about change. However, sitting back and blaming the pro-life lobby for not advancing the pro-life movement is nothing more than advocating for the status quo and hoping that social issues go away.

Noble but illogical when pregnancy by abuse cannot be settled between Dr. and patient.

For those who believe/insist in anatomical identity in public bathrooms...scream as loud as you can and keep screaming until the nit has cleared the premises.

That’s exactly how I see it, word-for-word.

The other side refuses to compromise and they get everything they want. We compromise our beliefs and values over and over in the hopes we will seem more acceptable to others. It is this lack of conviction that has lost much more ground than any strident stand for any position.
