Didn't read context here...but a statement like this usually means, "I'm used to wallowing in the immoral cesspool of ... xyz (feel in the blank), thank you! So, hey, let's cater to it as long as I'm spoon-fed a few populist lines"
The moral high ground isn't for enjoying. It's for living and defending, and dying to defend... if morality is to mean anything. What, do you think this is a game?
