Tubman was a Republican
So was Martin Luther King. And lets not forget that the members o;f the KKK were Democrats. All the history no one is taught these days.

I don’t care what ‘Party’ she identified with , she was shooting at my ancestors and don’t want to see her image on one of my most used bills . I will Sharpie the damn image .
I’ve seen more uproar over this from feminists and anti-capitalists than I have from the right. They’re complaining that she would never want to be put on such a representative document of capitalism.
I love the woman. I just hate the picture they are using. There are other pictures of her without that nasty scowl.

And Abraham Lincoln was the Commander in Chief of the Army that was shooting your ancestors. You boycotting the $5 bill also?
Pictures on money, who to use bathrooms. I fear we are being setup for something really bad with these distractions.

If they were trying to get their slaves back then they deserved to be shot.
To call Harriet Tubman a “made up” hero shows you have no idea what you’re talking about. You can disagree with the decision and still acknowledge that she led an extraordinary life. Try to show a bit of class in spite of your bitterness.
I wouldn’t mind if they put her on a bill. But first of all I’d like to see a friendly face, not a grim scowl, no matter who is on the bill.
And second, I don’t think the 20 makes much sense. She was not as important to American history as Andrew Jackson.
Finally, I’m afraid it’s the liberals who have re-written history. Anyone who has been through public school or college has been taught that the Democrats are the good guys, and the Republicans were the racists. Never mind that it was not true. They will never hear about the truth as long as the education is in liberal hands. And it will be, unless they fire almost everybody in the education industry and start all over again.
What kind of guns did she use? Put pics of them on the backs of the bills.
Given that she only shot at people trying to stop her from helping slaves get free on the Underground Railroad, you haven't exactly won me over to your ancestors positions. Unless you're arguing that as property those slaves had no right to their own humanity. In which case you can go screw yourself, with all due respect that is.
And Jackson was a Democrat.
