Six months from now, after Trump loses in a landslide, this is what we will be reading at Free Republic:

(1) Voter Fraud!

(2) Media Bias!

(3) Conservatives Stayed Home!

I always thought Scott Adams was a smart guy just from the insight that went into Dilbert. But after reading his thoughts on persuasion, he really is a genius on a level most people never even think about.

As a recently retired professional, I do not have a prediction for November. I doubt that any professional has a prediction worthy of trust.

The polling results suggest that Trump will get stomped. The polling results are based on historical data interpreted through current polls.

If the historical data do not apply to this election, then we have no idea what today’s polls mean - particularly turnout. If Trump supporters show up in November, this will be a record year.

If the Trump excitement fades over the next six months, then the historical data are meaningful, and we will have to pray for survival under the Hillary regime. Hillary is far more energetic and power hungry than Obama, and she could be more dangerous even if she is slightly less evil.

Which will it be: a blowout in one direction or in the other? The big decider will be the Trump supporters with enthusiasm.
- Will the FR Trump supporters man the phones (will Trump even have phones?).
- Will the FR Trump supporters drive people to the polls (will Trump even have get-out-the-vote?).
- Will the FR Trump supporters help register patriotic voters (will Trump even have a registration drive?).
- Will the FR Trump supporters send letters to the editor, post comments on every online news site, and talk to friends and neighbors?
- Or will they decide they have defeated the real enemy, now that Cruz is eliminated, and go back to their regular business?

Trump is an alpha male, or basically, he’s a man the way men used to be. Fits nicely with the MAGA theme.

Punchline at the end:

“Here’s a little experiment to try at home. Record one of Hillary Clinton’s televised rally speeches and put it on TV with volume high (but not too high) when you expect a female friend or relative to knock on the door. Answer the door and say nothing about the television in the background. Then watch the expression on the face of your guest. Two-out-of-three times you will see a pained grimace. For many people – male and female – listening to Clinton’s speeches actually hurts.”
