Rest room attendants have been around for way more than a century and still exist in many different places.

They hand out towels, to dry your hands with and in the men's room, brush off jackets.

In Ladies' room, they also hand out towels and in some places offer help when needed ( a needle and thread, a safety pin, a bobby pin, etc.)and help with a baby or small child.

If any "funny business is happening, they can also call the police.
