If you had grown up with soccer hooligans, you wouldn’t be as romantic about them. Scum who ruined the game and attacked the vulnerable. Thankfully in Scotland it was very small as opposed to England.
Believe me, I certainly am not romantic about them.
I watch old clips from the 70s, and how they would literally pack folks into the stands, and when a goal was scored you saw this mass of humanity rushing towards to goal. It’s amazing that there weren’t more Hillsborough-type disasters than there were.
I know there was a bad one at Ibrox in 1971 as well.
